This is one reason why we Indians are often... more stressed. Even on vacations, we fail to truly relax. Vacations aren’t treated as breaks anymore they become a form of peer pressure or ‘was-there’ syndrome. I always try to stay calm while traveling, because that’s the whole purpose of a vacation. Unfortunately, many of us miss this basic idea something I’ve clearly noticed among foreign travelers!show more

This video has been sent to us. As of... now, there are no details available about where it is from or whether it is even real or not. But it is scary to say the least. A man can be seen fighting for his life against a bear, while loud voices can be heard in the background. We will try to find more details as and when they become available.show more

I want to make this clear to you: the... area they describe as a “safe zone” is in the west of Gaza, but look closely , there is no space at all, not even on the seashore, as the entire place is packed with tents. Where are people supposed to go? Are we expected to live in the sea? How can they do this? What kind of logic is this, telling us to head west while they know very well that there is no space there?show more

Kenny Loggins slams Donald Trump for using 'Danger Zone'... in an AI video where Trump drops poop on No Kings protesters “This is an unauthorized use of my performance. Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately" "I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us. Too many people are trying to tear us apart, and we need to find new ways to come together" "We’re all Americans, and we’re all patriotic. There is no ‘us and them’ — that’s not who we are, nor is it what we should be. It’s all of us. What an humiliation in Syria. As a woman and... an MEP, I find this unpalatable. Women are nothing to them. Why they don't shake the hand of the German foreign minister because she is a woman is exactly the same reason why women are treated differently in all areas. In their eyes, women are just scum. That says a lot about the policies they will pursue. I feel disgusted by the idea of a EU that adjusts to that. video by Andreas Kynastshow more

Today I’m working on a painting of my mother... sleeping the last part of her life away. Randomly her favourite folk song comes up on my music while I’m painting. Then a butterfly flies into my studio. I have to take a moment because I’ve just realised fully that this is my way of saying goodbye. I’m painting my goodbye to a woman who can’t see anymore and for the first time I shed a tear or two. We are all so bloody fragile aren’t we?show more

Today I was going for a beach walk when... I came across this intersection… For some reason, I stopped and stood there for a while reflecting. It reminded me of something we recite every single day in Surah Al-Fātiḥah: “Guide us to the Straight Path.” In life, we face so many crossroads. Thousands of choices that shape who we become. Through Islam, Allah gives us a clear guide. A path that keeps us balanced, grounded, and protected. And every time we pray, we’re reminded to return to that Straight Path. Because Allah knows what’s best for us, and He knows that His path is the easiest, safest, and most peaceful way of life. ❤️show more

Horrendous. Heartbreaking news from Amsterdam. Is this what we... have become? Modern day pogrom as we are remembering Kristallnacht. I am in Texas and it is middle of the night here as I write. Friends from Europe are texting and calling me about the horrendous situation in Amsterdam. In the night of November 7 in Amsterdam there were widespread and terrible raids on Jewish people. After the soccer game Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv, large groups of radical moslims violently attacked Jews, injured them, ran over them with cars… 💔 How is this possible? Why did it take the police so long to get there ? Even on European soil we fail to protect human dignity. Is this what we have become ? It's just terrible! Revolting! Imagine you are Jewish. And you know this: as soon as you walk out of your house to go running, go grocery shopping, go to school or to the synagogue, this can happen to you. How would you feel? I spoke about this situation of terrible discriminations this week in parliament. Worrying about antisemitism is not an exaggeration. Fighting it is our responsibility. The Dutch local government has failed. My thoughts are with the victims. I am furious with the Dutch local government. This is what we have become. Because we have forgotten that this violence is still possible if we are not honest, vigilant and decisive. If people who live in Europe are capable of this horrible attacks, it says a lot about how europe failed to impose its values even on its own soil. And there are still people who will think speaking of hatred against jewish people is an exaggeration. It is not. This is the week of the Kristallnacht commemorations. October 7 was until now the Kristallnacht of our time. November 7 must be the last one. Assita Kankoshow more

I think a big mistake is believing that if... something is here, we should be able to see it. Right? The lights in the sky and the pilots or the gods or whatever they are? I think we assume out of arrogance and ego. An insect can crawl across your hand and never understand that you are a whole entire being. It only experiences pressure, heat, vibration, and movement. A fingertip appears. A shadow passes. The insect never sees the body attached to it. The insect does not have access to the full image. Ever. I think our situation may be exactly the same. Whatever people call the phenomenon, nonhuman intelligence, gods, or something else entirely, may be present in full while we only register a portion of it. We notice effects, not the actual being. Changes in perception. Anomalies. We expect a face when all we are capable of sensing is the fingertip. Let me explain. Reports are always partial and strange. Lights, shapes, impressions, symbols, missing time, pressure, fear, calm. None of it ever shows us a full being, or the real craft; because our senses are not built to assemble it. Just like the ant cannot assemble a human from a few sensations. Now that doesn't mean what we are seeing is fake. It means the insect’s world is smaller than the thing interacting with it. I get sick of people saying there is no there there, I think they are making the same mistake the insect would make. Our reality is likely a thin slice of what actually exists. We move through a world full of forces and intelligences that exceed our resolution. We are not seeing nothing. We are seeing effects. And effects are often the only honest proof a limited observer ever gets.show more

Sadly, many of our traditions are dying! A lot... of people had nobody even show up at their houses for Halloween this year. Of those who did decide to go trick-or-treating, it was widely noticed that a much smaller fraction of houses had their lights on. What is the point of having a country if we lose everything we love? The only way to fix this is to shut down the border and deport every illegal! We can’t be generous unless we are happy and stable. That is step 1. Otherwise, in just a few short years, there won’t be anything left to fight for :(show more

Many Indians are regular consumers of Opium, an illegal... Schedule 1 substance in Canada. They refer to it as many names: afeem, feem, dodde, dodda, Desi nutella, etc...). There is a huge Opium-producing ring across Canada, in every province. This one is based out of Surrey, British Columbia. They claim it is a "cultural" thing, and as we all know, if a 3rd worlder claims it's part of their culture, there is often leniency or complete ignorance of the problem. Happy Victoria Day, Canadians! Don't get caught with drugs, unless you're Indian and it's part of your culture!show more

DISTRACTED DRIVING. This was from my chase this past... Sunday. This is especially for solo grinders. We all do it. We're checking radar, we're checking the phone, we're chatting on our radios, all of the tasks involved with chasing are numerous. The road is empty...noone is around...or so we think. At a moments notice, an abandoned vehicle sits half on the road. Thankfully I looked up, as we often do...but still, had I been locked into my screen for just a second or two longer...or if someone was coming in the other lane, or if it was raining. Its impossible to avoid the many distractions we face. But try, try and TRY.show more

There’s truth to this. I was in the food... service for 20+ years and there’s actually a reason why this is done. We would hand out clear cups to whites so we could tell if they were actually getting water VS a soda they didn’t pay for. Whites are privileged and we refused to let them take advantage of that. We handed out red cups to the blacks because we knew they were poor and needed to steal to enjoy finer things in life. The red would hide the bubbles in a sprite or similar soda. Unfortunately we didn’t accept EBT so this was our way of saying ‘we are sorry.’ ‘You don’t have to steal here. Take a break from stealing. We know it can be exhausting.’ Just doing our part. 🫡 Hope this helps!show more

🇱🇧🇮🇱 Lebanese southerners interviewed as they evacuate the south... amid Israeli bombardment threats. "We will surely return victorious. Even if we stay in our cars for a whole month. We will surely return." This comes after the IDF issued official warnings not only for areas south of the Litani River, but also for zones north of it. More recently, alerts have extended to the entirety of Beirut’s southern suburbs—a densely populated area estimated to house between 500,000 and 900,000 people. Note that these measures appear consistent with what has been described as Israel’s “Dahyeh Doctrine,” a strategy targeting densely populated urban areas to exert military pressure. With sectarian tensions rising in Lebanon, the mass evacuation from the South—within a country of just 10,452 km²—is only going to increase internal strain. And reports of sectarian tension have already emerged. Many people are refusing to host southern Lebanese evacuees, for different reasons. Some is outright sectarian prejudice, while others fear being targeted themselves because, as they put it, “Shiites live among us.” Many see this as part of Israel’s strategy to pressure a fragmented Lebanon from within, using displacement and fear to weaken the state. The longer this endures, the harsher conditions will become. This does not concern the southerners alone, but the rest of the country too.show more

They are LOVING it…they have no complaints…and that’s made me happy. 😃 bright side of lifers! I guess we only start to complain when we compare….and comparison is the thief of joy. We don’t need to label this kid as being... a Palestinian or an Israeli. It shouldn’t matter what nationality, religion, ethnicity or name this child has. It shouldn’t matter if it’s a boy or a girl, a child of a peasant or a child of a king. All that matters is that this is a child, and all children should be treated as the innocent beings that they are. If you are putting more weight on the life of a child of one ethnicity, one religion, or one ancestral line other than those of your own family or friends, then your moral compass is out of wack. Before, I saw Sana and Jihyo looking tired and... even massaging their legs. But today, it is heartbreaking and painfully obvious that Sana is not okay at all. This is so painful to watch, and it has seriously gone too far seeing them in such poor condition. I don’t care if people disagree with my tweet. I cannot stay silent anymore. Watching the members suffer one by one like this is breaking my heart, and JYP’s handling of their health is deeply disappointing. I am especially disappointed in JYP. In my opinion, JYP made a huge mistake when Dahyun was sick. They did not even take her to the doctor for an X-ray. Dahyun had to endure the pain for almost a month and still perform. Even in Incheon, she had to walk to the parking lot while limping, without any ankle support or a wheelchair. Before that, Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung were sick and had to miss the tour. We even had to watch Jihyo perform while she was sick, sitting on a chair on stage. That was painful to see. Then Mina had to be absent today because of health issues, and now we can clearly see that Sana is also not in good condition. Watching this happen again and again is exhausting and heartbreaking. How many times do we have to see the members suffer before their health is truly taken seriously? I know concerts and schedules are decided together by the members and the agency. But why does it feel like the girls’ health is always the last thing being considered? Can’t the agency do better and put their health first, just once? The girls are the kind of idols who truly love meeting fans. They will keep showing up even when they are unwell, as long as they can still stand. That is exactly what scares me the most. That is why JYP must take better care of them. Please, I’m begging make the girls’ health the top priority above anything else. The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in... the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtronshow more
