I bit the bullet and set Jackson up with... a driver fitting this evening. I knew he hit it far, but didn’t know any of his numbers. Spoke to the pro after the fitting who sent me this video: Fastest swing was 118 mph. Ball speeds mid 160s into the 170s He has been playing my old clubs which were stiff shafts so he was a bit wild off the tee before. Fitter fit him into a Titleist driver head with an X-stiff shaft. Got the spin rates down to the low 2000s and he said Jackson’s control with the Titleist was remarkable. I am sooooooooo screwed. I could out drive him before because I could control my spin. I figured my older head and weaker shaft was hurting him. I could watch his semi-weird swing all day long. His back swing to me, while on plane, does not look very powerful, but his lag is sooo natural and he uses his 6 foot, 210 pound frame to send it.
