This is the view of Las Flores Canyon last... night, the fire reached our land earlier this morning. Unsure on the status of my home. We left before a fire even started and then it was too dangerous to go back - so I quite literally have nothing with me — a computer, a few pieces of jewelry, a black turtleneck, a Japanese robe, and a pair of neon green cowboy boots…the essentials right? I keep replaying how I could have been more prepared, punishing myself as I process in a futile attempt to imagine control in the chaos. I then judge myself for even caring about “stuff” when folks quite literally fled on foot to escape. So it is… I’m praying my beloved “disco cabin” survives, preparing for the worse, and ultimately, accepting that both LA and our lives may be forever changed. 🫶show more

The first video only lived on Team Liquid IG... stories for the day, so I wanted to post it here to give it a permanent home. What started as simple flat renders turned into a small animations experiment. I used a basic rig and filmed myself as reference (because that’s what animators actually do, reference is everything), and just went for it. The funny part is, once I took that risk, the creative ideas started flowing. Pushing past the safe option is what made this feel more alive and if I hadn’t tried, this videos would never have existed. It’s simple, but I’m genuinely proud of how it turned out, especially since this is far outside my comfort zone. Sometimes the best growth comes from just trying. I wanted to share that yesterday I was sitting... practically right next to the girl who got Tae’s shirt 🥹😭 As you can imagine, she was in complete shock and was hugging the shirt as if it were the most precious thing in the world (which it was) 💗 She was Asian and didn't speak Spanish. Several people were taking photos of her, but I just looked at her, smiled, and hugged myself so she could feel how happy that moment made me (I wanted to respect her space). She gave me a huge smile, made a heart shape with her hands, and gave me an OK. It was such a special moment 💜show more

For the facial animations in my game, I use... a technique that yields results similar to L.A. Noire. To keep it simple: I first generate a facial animation video using AI like LTX 2. Then, I create a video depth map from that animation and project it onto a face mask. Using vertex displacement, the depth map dynamically deforms the face as the character speaks.
