Thread:If QB has issue with front foot over stride,... knee lock out try this drill. Can have them work through progression or throw in rhythm. Keep enough space for small front step. This helps QBs maintain distance in clean pocket, quicken release, and be more efficient throwers.show more

The exercise looks simple, but there’s more going on... than a basic Bulgarian split squat. With the rear foot elevated and a medicine ball held in front, you’re asking the front leg to control the hip and knee while the trunk manages the added load. That combination makes this a useful drill for single-leg strength + hip stability + trunk control. The key isn’t going as deep as possible—it’s owning the position without losing balance or letting the knee collapse inward.show more

This might be one of the most under-trained muscles... in your whole lower leg. It's called the tibialis anterior, it runs down the front of your shin, and its main job is to lift the front of your foot up when you walk. At the lowest point of your step, your toes may only clear the floor by about a centimetre. Also called, minimum toe clearance in gait studies. This muscle is a big part of what keeps your toes off the ground. So when it gets weak, especially with age, your toes can scuff the floor and you trip more easily. That slow, foot-dragging walk you see in a lot of older people often comes down to weak shins. It's also what helps lower your foot down gently after your heel lands, instead of letting it slap flat. And because most people train their calves far more than the front of the leg, that imbalance can contribute to shin splints. A go-to for runners Also shows up in knee rehab Try this wall-supported version. You can do it anywhere.show more

This airline passenger filmed this guy sitting in front... of them. The guy in front keeps slamming his chair back even though it is already reclined. Eventually the guy with the knees does push back but why does this even happen? What is that guy in front doing? Many said they think that airlines shouldn’t even have reclining seats unless you are in first class because there isn’t enough room. Others said they will ask the person behind them if it is okay to recline their seat. What would you do if someone was doing this in front of you? Has this ever happened to you? And, do you think it’s okay for people to just recline or should they warn the people behind them first? And do you agree and think they should get rid of reclining seats all together?show more

The Pelvic Whip👇 A Big League pitcher’s pelvis can... rotates faster that 900 Degrees per second To maximize that speed with proper timing, many of our athletes and coaches like the feeling of keeping the pelvis closed THEN Exploding! BUT, if the front side groin is tight, the lead leg will just drag the pelvis open which is a much slower version of pelvic rotation To get around this, some guys land in a valgus position (Knee Caved in) on the front leg since you don’t need full Adductor Range of Motion to do this. And Some step across body which can also work around this. This Test / Exercise To see how your groin affects your pelvis, hold your knee out while performing this exercise. You will know immediately if this affects you or not! 👊show more

I encourage attackers to drive at the hips of... defenders for a few reason; — 1v1 is a duel of footwork (momentum) & angles, the avenue to space is through an angle which can disrupt the opponent’s footwork (momentum) — It offers big-space players a reference to be successful in small spaces — Directly confronting the defender (driving/touching the ball towards their hips [centre]) means you’re moving into their ‘personal space’, which naturally makes humans uncomfortable, increasing the probability for the defender to make an impulsive reaction to your action. • We know Garnacho’s relationship with the ball isn’t watertight, a consequence of his narrow footwork, which reflects in his dribbling & shooting actions —> more specifically, his inability to make many multi-directional touches in his stride + his loose connections with the ball. Because of this he’s more likely to pose threat in bigger spaces, as he’s a willing goal-getter & has fair speed, but struggles to manufacture big enough space for his key actions when the opponents congest space deeper. • What trumps all of this is Garnacho lacking methodology in his dribbling, which would help him maximise his strengths & minamise the affect of his weaknesses. Garnacho drives towards the goal with the intention to cut inside and open an angle on his strong foot, but this angle of approach keeps the defender parallel to the ball (good momentum & maintain footwork) and closer to the space inside that Garnacho wants to take If he had driven at the hips (squared his man up) he could’ve; = pushed the opponent’s momentum onto back foot = reduced the need for sharp COD touches to access the inside angle (his weak point) & maintain his own momentum = kept open bigger space either side of him If you want big space, you have to make it. Targetting the defender’s central point within their personal space can support this.show more

Middle infielders: I’m a believer in taking the throw... from in-front of the bag on a stolen-base attempt. The main reason why: Catchers aren’t always going to put the ball on the bag. A common miss is arm side, causing the throw to tail towards first base. When you're in-front, you have freedom to move toward a bad throw without the runner sliding underneath or into you. You can catch it, make the tag, and potentially keep a bad throw from getting into center field. If you straddle the bag, your range can become limited once the runner starts sliding in. In order to do this, you must LET THE BALL TRAVEL Don't reach out, catch it early, and then bring your glove back to the runner. You're wasting valuable time. Let the ball travel over the bag and make a quick tag. If he's out → quick tag If he's safe → tag and HOLD IT. Give him a chance to come off the bag. Get in-front Let the ball travel Catch it late Tag quicklyshow more

Driving through Aurora, Colorado today reminded me of the... times I lived in South America on and off for around 6 years. Often the people that walk around selling in or cleaning windows in traffic are aggressive, forceful, and pose as threats to passengers. First of all we have windshield wipers!! Secondly we don't need people looking through our windows to see what they can find coercing people for all the spare cash they have. In Latin America this is normal everywhere. Random people charging you for parking in public space, to sit down to eat at a restaurant they send in their kids to guilt you, or like this at a stop light, to be safe we have to pay them? This behavior isn't a favor or honest work, its a "pay me not to rob you," kind of deal.show more

The Dawn of a New Era on $SUI (9)... Still in the festive spirit, let’s look at Tusky , Tusky is a storage service that's not controlled by one company. It uses something called WalrusProtocol to keep your data safe. Your data is encrypted from start to finish, so only you can see it. Instead of one place, your data goes to many different spots. This setup makes your data less likely to be lost or stolen. It helps keep your information safe and always available. Tusky gives you control over your files. You can easily manage them with the tools provided. You decide who gets to see your data. This makes it great for personal storage or working with others. It works with SuiNetwork for even more privacy. You can log in without sharing personal info, keeping everything more secure. This means only you can get to your data, with no third party involved. It is growing fast, with 100,000 uploads already. This indicates its increasing acceptance in the tech community focused on data sovereignty. It's good at managing lots of data safely. In tech, where you want to own your data, TuskyTools is popular. It gives users control over their information. This platform helps keep your data secure and gives you freedom.show more

We’ve seen guys like Judge, Stanton, Wells and others... tinker with their stances to get into a better hitting position to attack strikes in the zone. When a guy like Volpe has struggled to hit consistently for his first 3 years, is constantly late on mid-velocity heaters in the middle of the zone and is constantly off-balance when he misses the off-speed stuff; you think to take a look at his pre-pitch habits especially what he’s doing with his hands and stride, and consider eliminating some of the unnecessary movements to simplify things and be ready to attack a pitch in the strike zone sooner. Volpe starts with his hands high above his head with some waggle to probably keep his hands moving and stay in rhythm, then as he strides he drops his hands into the slot while he loads, then wraps his hands behind him as he strides and keeps his weight back on his backside. That front foot needs to get down early as he gets his hands back to be ready to smoke something in the zone. Why hasn’t someone suggested dropping his hands pre-pitch in his stance to get them into the slot early, keep them back to prevent wrapping, and cut out one less moving part to get him better ready to attack pitches in the zone? He can even still have some waggle back there if he prefers to keep his hands moving. In theory if his hands are down and back already, all he needs to do is get his front foot down in time? It’s worth a try lolshow more

After the Striker spends 100 MPH videos blew up... not too long ago, you couldn’t find a video without seeing comments of his mechanics needing improvement and just kind of absurd reasons as to why his mechanics need to improve. Keep in mind this is a 16 year old kid throwing 100 MPH. Can he really throw 100 MPH with as many of the mechanical flaws as the Instagram comments make him out to have? Or are mechanics subjective and majority of what people think creates elite throwers just not really matter like they think it does? With that being said here are couple subjective thoughts that I have on this throw: Passive lower half, doesn’t push/jump to try to create velocity. Setting up torso in a great spot at foot plant, not forcing it True rotation, pelvis rotates torso follows, minimal counter rotation You can agree or disagree with what my thoughts are, which makes the point of speaking the same language between coaches and athletes constantly so important. What I said can be interpreted hundreds of ways if you don’t communicate with the same language every single time you communicate with an athlete.show more

Last week, I marked my birthday in a simple... way—but it left me with a powerful reminder. I may not have abundance, but I have enough to make a difference in someone’s life. Giving isn’t about how much we have; it’s about the heart behind what we share. Sometimes it’s a meal, a kind word, a small gift, or even just showing up for someone who feels forgotten. Those “little” things can mean everything to someone in need. This past week opened my eyes again: generosity is not reserved for the wealthy. It belongs to anyone willing to care. As I step into this new year of my life, I’m choosing to be more intentional—giving what I can, when I can, and trusting that even the smallest act of kindness carries great value. If each of us does a little, together we can create something truly meaningful. Let’s keep giving, no matter how small. 💛show more

Traits that make Colorado Rockies 1B TJ Rumfield one... of best rookie hitters (top 3) in MLB Mechanical •Pace is never rushed. Moves early & slow to be @ top of leg kick by pitch release •Weight always on inside of back foot during negative move, brings precise timing of fwd move w/ pitcher’s release point & maintains center of balance •Almost ZERO head movement during fwd move. Sink & coil (upper half stack) against stride enables this, so hips+stride leg can go out alone. Allows more time to track, make accurate swing decisions, and react. •Upper half stack puts hips+shoulders on incline plane for loft & matching pitch trajectory •Barrel tips into launch early in fwd move for readiness •Stride foot lands soft as possible due to elite weight distro. Crucial for tracking and offspeed adjustability •Upper half holds closed during front hip clearance for ideal stretch. Creates good space as well •One of few hitters in league whose swing begins BEFORE toe touch for ELITE time to contact •6.2 ft swing length 1 foot shorter than league avg. Combines w/ rare time to contact, producing one of MLB’s quickest swings Rare Intangibles •Selective-aggressive approach (swings at 42.5% of 1st pitches) •Timing (all 3 phases) •Readiness •Accurate decision making •Plate Discipline •Hand-eye (65 BB, 77 SO in 138 G. 14% strikeout rate, 22% is league avg)show more

'LET’S KEEP CEBU CITY CLEAN — TOGETHER' WATCH: Cebu... City Mayor Nestor Archival, through a video shared to him by a concerned citizen, calls out a person caught on camera throwing garbage into the sea in front of the Pasil Fish Market. Archival said the city government has already cleared around 90 percent of the garbage along the Pasil and Ermita coastline, but stressed that cleanup efforts alone are not enough. “This is exactly why cleanup alone is not enough. Government can remove the garbage, but only the people can stop it from coming back,” he wrote. | via Neil Povadora #CDNDigital 📹: Nestor Archival/ Facebookshow more

Our enemies really do hate what America can once... again return to. Where this was the national standard. No illegals selling foul food on the corner, no Kia Boyz joyriding through the street, illegals blasting their mariachi music, your doors didn't have to be locked, neatly cut lawns, enough space to start a family, a safe community to send your kid to the local public school, American Flag in front of the house, and the community getting together for the 4th of July back yard BBQs. Just peace and quiet. And our enemies all want to destroy this, in favor of a rootless favela hellhole.show more
