The conflict between the Kurds and the Syrian government has sharply escalated in recent days. Authorities in Damascus, backed by Turkey, have launched a large-scale offensive against the SDF. Earlier, they took Kurdish districts of Aleppo, then captured Tabqa and key dams on the Euphrates, pushing Kurdish forces to the river’s northern and eastern banks.
