With great regret, I come to inform you that... I am out of the next #UFC317 competition. I suffered a foot fracture during training and, after medical evaluation, I was instructed to have surgery and focus 100% on recovery. It's not easy to stay out of something I've been preparing for with so much dedication, and without a doubt this would be the most advantageous fight of my career but I understand that this is just another challenge on the way and I trust the plans that Allah has for me! I graduated!!! I earned a Bachelor of Arts in... Sociology with a concentration in Psychology, summa cum laude! Five years ago, I started this journey with an eighth-grade education, and even that was from a Scientology school, where critical thinking was discouraged and the quality of instruction was subpar, to say the least. I did not get here alone. Thank you to NYU School of Professional Studies and Angie Kamath. Thank you to everyone who supported me, encouraged me, and believed in me, especially on the days I was not sure I could do this. And there were plenty of those days. To my therapist, who told me not to give up when I was told I likely would not be accepted into a prestigious program. To my tutor, without whom I likely would have given up at the harder points along the way. To all those here who have sent me loving messages on social media. And to everyone else who has cheered me on in person through the ups and the downs of it, it means more than I can put into words. It got me over this finish line of being a student again and graduating. That goal once seemed impossible. To those who have asked me, “Why this? Why now?” I pursued higher education to reclaim a piece of myself. When you come out of a high-control group like Scientology, or even a high-control family, there are parts of you that were never allowed to fully develop. Those parts include your curiosity and your ability and right to question. Education was discouraged because knowledge creates confidence in your ability to trust your own mind and navigate the world. That leads to true independence, and that would never be allowed. I wanted that back. But more than that, I needed to understand. I needed to understand how my mother could have us join Scientology when I was just eight years old, and how my family and I could be part of something like this and stay in it for so long. I needed to understand how these systems work, how they influence people, and how they take hold. Without education, access to real information, and support, people can fall into systems that work against their best interests. Some assume that because they are educated, even highly educated, they would never fall for something like this. But it turns out that is not necessarily true. What many of us are impacted by, but never quite understand, is how high-control groups operate. Many still do not understand how misinformation spreads, and how tribalism and radicalization shape what we think, what we believe, and who and what we trust. Without that awareness, none of us are immune. Today, we are seeing how these forces can influence good people and distort reality. History has shown us that this is not new; it just comes in a different form now. Social media connects us in ways we never imagined, but it also creates echo chambers that reinforce beliefs and justify behavior without question. Real critical thinking is hard when we are fed so much by algorithms designed to appeal to us. In learning and achieving this milestone in my own life, it has helped me take a good, hard look at my own beliefs and ideologies. This journey was about healing for me, but also about figuring out how to help others in whatever way I can in the future. So what is in my future? I am considering continuing my education and possibly pursuing a master’s degree, with the goal of contributing to advocacy and policies that protect people, not systems. For now, I am taking this moment in. I am proud of myself. And I am grateful. Thank you for being on this journey with me.show more

I’d say [I’m] more frustrated than angry, because I don’t like being painted into a person that I’m not. Because I’m an open book, I have to be real. It exhausts me when I see people that I know inside and out not being genuine. It frustrates me.”show more

We have over $250k in scheduled jobs just in... April alone A 5x increase over last April. Our biggest and most frustrating challenge by far is speed to scale. I could add another $250k with the click of a button, and I could press this button 30x over every 4 months. I could expand the service area and amplify it even more. But I can’t, because we can’t fulfill more than that without more equipment. I can’t just infinitely buy equipment either, it takes time to build up. The thought of taking on an investor has been discussed many times, but that’s another challenge, because it needs to be the right investor. Money alone isn’t the right investor. We need one that understands the industry and is well connected in it. We also have over 100 people ready to buy into a franchise model. A model that has already been built over the Winter. HTML Artifacts are a big part of how I... work with agents now. Artifacts can be more than just static files. When combined with agents, they can take action or help you take action. This unlocks all kinds of interesting ways to work with agents. This is clearly the future. Check out this writing and scheduler artifact I built in a few minutes. It uses a bit of HTML and JS. All the data is in markdown (Obsidian vaults), so the agent can access and modify it at any time. No DB needed. No sophisticated functionalities. The agent decides all that for me based on the skills, context, and memory it has access to. The best part about this simple stack is that all the important information stays with me. This has allowed me to build a recursive self-improving system and automations that can better tap into coding agents like Codex or Claude Code. I could have paid or built an entire app for scheduling posts, and there are so many of them out there. But I don't need to. I've realized a simple artifact does the job. And the simplicity of it is actually an advantage. Very little maintenance for very high returns on personalization, time, and efficiency. The other benefit of this is that I can add features as I please. That level of personalization feels magical, and we should all be pursuing more of it. All of this just keeps compounding. Of course, this example is just about writing. But I have similar artifacts for research, design, experimentation, evaluation, and so much more. And no, I didn't actually publish the post example I shared in the clip. It was just for demonstration purposes. I actually spend more time than this when writing together with agents. Lastly, having built my own agent orchestrator tool has made me realize that simplifying the tool stack is a superpower. My First Car 2022— A Lesson I’ll Never Forget... I have always wanted to share this story. When I found this car, it had been abandoned. I was young, ambitious, and excited about the idea of owning my first car. I didn’t see a broken-down vehicle ,I saw an opportunity. I started putting my savings into repairing it, believing that one day I would finally drive my own car. But reality was very different. The car only made it onto the road about five times. The longest I could drive was about 3 kilometres before I had to stop and let it cool down because it would overheat. I even took it for painting. Unfortunately, I was cheated. Someone apparently used house paint, and whenever it rained, the paint would begin coming off. 😔 Nine months of my savings disappeared into that car. Sometimes when I remember how much time and money I put into it, I honestly feel like crying. The painful part is knowing that those nine months of savings could probably have bought me a much better car maybe even a brand-new one. But today, I choose to look at it differently. That car taught me something no classroom could teach me. When you are young, ambition can make you move faster than wisdom. You see the dream, but you don’t always see the cost. I made mistakes. I trusted the wrong people. I spent money I probably shouldn’t have spent. I learned the hard way. But I was trying. I was a young person trying to build something for myself. And perhaps that’s what makes this story emotional for me. When I look back at that young man in 2022, I don’t see a fool. I see someone who had a dream. The car failed me many times, but the experience didn’t. It taught me to be wiser. To ask more questions. To inspect before investing. To understand that sometimes the cheapest opportunity can become the most expensive lesson. That car may have only travelled a few kilometres on the road ,But it took me much further in life. One football league is spending money at a scale... the rest of the world cannot match. With the transfer window still open, Premier League clubs have already spent more than about 1.9 billion dollars this summer, and they are on track to beat last year's record of about 4 billion dollars. A handful of clubs drive most of it. This summer the British transfer record was broken twice in three weeks. Manchester City paid about 156 million dollars for Elliot Anderson, then Chelsea topped it with about 158 million dollars for Morgan Rogers. While I have premium I definitely want to do... a long post breaking down the main scene from this show that I obsess with. There's so much that I feel could be learned from it. Not just for expansion animators either. There's honestly a LOT that can be learned from how this show directed its expansion scenes that can be applied to even safe for work animations. Obviously yes, the expansion alone is really good. What makes it so good though is just the fact that there's things you pick up on that you likely don't even realize until you re-watch. I'm using this scene as an example as it's not AS good I would say, but it still has a lot going for it. One thing I've always loved from it that I want to use in my own animations someday is that the expansion sort of comes in waves as opposed to one consistent growth. In a way, it makes it feel more natural while also selling how tight the top is getting. It could have been accompanied by showing the knot getting tighter or smaller with each growth. It's a small part of the animation but just that one thing already adds another layer to appreciate. It's not like most expansion scenes where there's very little outside of just "growing" on its own. There's a bunch of little things that subtly improve it without being obnoxious. I had a visitor today who seemingly was disappointed... in my egg pricing. You can find $3-$5 eggs per dozen at grocery stores. Styrofoam cartons, caged chickens or the one company that really bothers me but it is what it is. I won’t name them. Our chickens are fed a diet of grains from a mill that I now have in my possession a certificate of their good standing with organic standards. This means we do pay them more for that grain that would be found in a farm that sources gmo grains. I charge $6/dozen and have since we started here because my costs have not changed for the grain inputs. Despite growing the flock to 100+, buying infrastructure via fences, running gear, automatic coop doors and much more. $6 per dozen. I am not undercutting my family anymore. To raise this quality of meat, eggs and produce, it has to be justified to the time spent in the fields, buying feed by the tonnage and generally building a business that can support these types of investments. I don’t like losing a customer - but I have to be able to look my wife and children in the eye and justify what we’re doing.show more

I would never have ordered it if I saw it on a menu, but the Dr Pepper Milkshake (with coconut) was one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had. Not only did I go back 3x a day, but everyone was talking about it. DP probably spent 1/100th of what Coke spent on their booth, yet everyone wanted that DP Shake. I want it in my restaurants tomorrow. I can’t describe the taste besides it was extremely good. 🥇 Top Food Item: Hand breaded Spicy McWings were some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Malaysia & China switched to this process over a year ago.
