#Bangladesh: India's Reckless Actions Are Worsening the Flood Crisis... in Southeast Bangladesh For the first time in generations, Bangladesh's entire southeastern region is facing its worst flooding in history affecting millions of people. The cause? Indian authorities opened the gates of the Dumbur Reservoir in Tripura for the first time in three decades, releasing massive volumes of water into an already rain-soaked region. (Read: Could there have been flooding without India opening the Dumbur Reservoir gates? Perhaps yes, but on a significantly smaller scale. The sudden release of water from the dam has inundated the region to an extent it hasn't experienced in generations. International law obliges India to notify Bangladesh of any actions that could cause significant harm downstream. Yet, India's failure to notify Bangladesh before opening the gates has caused significant distress and damage. Unfortunately, the Dumbur Reservoir is just one of many dams India has built on the rivers that flow into Bangladesh. Of the 54 transboundary rivers shared between the two countries, India has constructed dams on at least 30 of them, with the Farakka Dam being the most infamous for its catastrophic impact on northern Bangladesh. India's unilateral construction of dams and its arbitrary control of water flows have become a constant threat to Bangladesh, causing either drought or flooding downstream. This reckless behavior has devastated millions of lives and wreaked havoc on the environment. For example, over 80% of Bangladesh's 20 million small farmers depend on water flowing through these transboundary rivers to grow rice. (Source: By inflicting such widespread damage, India is effectively breaching international law on a regular basis. Here are some of the key obligations that India is failing to uphold: 1) Under Articles 5 and 6 of the UN Convention on the Law of the Non-Navigational Uses of International Watercourses (1997), upstream and downstream countries have the right to equitably and reasonably utilize shared waters. 2) Article 7 of the 1997 Convention, along with customary international law, obliges upstream countries, like India, to prevent significant harm to downstream nations, such as Bangladesh. 3) The Espoo Convention (1991) and customary international law mandate that upstream countries notify and consult with downstream states before undertaking any activities that could significantly affect shared waters. Yet, India has consistently ignored these obligations and has never acknowledged the rights of Bangladesh and its people under international law. Despite these hostile actions, Indian officials continue to claim that they are friendly neighbors—yet they wonder why Bangladeshis hold such deep resentment against them. Is India truly a friendly neighbor to Bangladesh? Their actions speak louder than their words.show more

Another 4-way split screen clip with Flux 3! Prompt... : Four-way split-screen showing the same emergency airplane river landing from four synchronized camera perspectives. Each panel follows the aircraft continuously while the visuals change as the event unfolds. Top left: interior cabin view showing passengers, crew, shaking seats, overhead bins, and the river visible through the windows. Top right: exterior side-tracking view following the aircraft as it descends, levels out, touches the water, and creates a large spray. Bottom left: cockpit view showing the pilots, controls, instrument lights, windshield view, and final approach toward the river. Bottom right: aerial view tracking the aircraft from above, showing its flight path, surrounding city, bridges, river traffic, touchdown, and wake. At the 2-second mark, the aircraft descends lower. Passengers brace, the pilots adjust the nose, and the wings remain level. The plane touches the river, producing a wide burst of water. It skims forward, slows down, and settles while floating. Emergency boats appear in the distance. The cameras may change framing, zoom slightly, or reposition to keep the main action visible, but every panel must remain perfectly synchronized. Show identical aircraft movement, timing, passenger reactions, lighting, weather, water spray, reflections, and final position. Use realistic aviation details, natural reactions, believable water-landing physics, cinematic realism, and consistent spatial continuity. No duplicated aircraft, mismatched timing, changing plane design, teleportation, or contradictory actions between views.show more

Despite clear court orders, Imran Khan’s family was deliberately... blocked from meeting him today and in response PTI is protesting outside Adiala Jail. The cowardly and fascist regime under General Asim Munir has stooped to new lows by launching a sudden water-cannon assault, late at night and in freezing temperatures on the women taking part in a peaceful sit-in. This is not only a shameless violation of Imran Khan’s prisoner rights but also an outright assault on the constitutional rights of people who gathered to protest the regime’s atrocities. International human rights organizations and champions of democracy must not stay silent in the face of such inhumane and authoritarian actions in Pakistan. STATEMENT OF THE NATIONAL TASK FORCE FOR THE WEST... PHILIPPINE SEA 9 December 2023 Manila, Philippines The National Task Force West Philippine Sea (NTFWPS) vehemently condemns the illegal and aggressive actions carried out by the Chinese Coast Guard and Chinese Maritime Militia against the civilian Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) vessels Datu Sanday, Datu Bankaw, and Datu Tamblot today during a regular BFAR humanitarian and support mission of providing oil subsidy and grocery packs to over 30 Filipino fishing vessels near Bajo De Masinloc in the West Philippine Sea. As of this reporting the mission is on-going. Based on the reports received, as the BFAR vessels approached 1.4 to 1.9 nautical miles from Bajo de Masinloc, the Chinese Coast Guard ships utilized water cannons to obstruct and prevent BFAR vessels from approaching the Filipino fishing vessels eagerly awaiting the oil subsidy and grocery packs. The water cannons had been used at least eight (8) times at the time of reporting. Additionally, the Chinese Maritime Militia vessels are reported to have engaged in dangerous maneuvers and deployed what is understood to be a Long-Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) against the BFAR vessels - causing severe temporary discomfort and incapacitation to some Filipino crew. Water cannon action have resulted in significant damage to BFAR vessel Datu Tamblot's communication and navigation equipment, as it was directly and deliberately targeted by the China Coast Guard. The Task Force likewise denounces the deployment of Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs) to disperse and drive away Filipino fishing vessels eagerly awaiting the distribution of fuel subsidies and food supplies from the BFAR ships. To prevent the distribution of humanitarian support is not only illegal but also inhumane. Moreover, Filipino fishermen have reported and documented the Chinese Coast Guard launching a small boat early this morning to illegally install a floating barrier at the southeast entrance of Bajo De Masinloc. The actions of Chinese Coast Guard and Chinese Maritime Militia hindered the BFAR vessel from accessing the entrance of the shoal. We stress that Bajo de Masinloc is a high-tide feature with territorial sea, per the 2016 Arbitral Award. It forms an integral part of the Philippine national territory under the Constitution. The Philippines exercises sovereignty and jurisdiction over the shoal and its territorial sea. The 2016 Arbitral Award has also clarified that Filipinos have traditional fishing rights in the water of Bajo de Masinloc protected by international law. China's illegal exercise of maritime law enforcement powers, interference with Philippine vessels, harassment and intimidation of Filipino fisherfolk, or any other activity that infringes upon the Philippines' sovereignty and jurisdiction in Bajo de Masinloc are violations of international law, particularly UNCLOS and the Arbitral Award. We firmly insist that these Chinese vessels leave Bajo de Masinloc immediately. We demand that the Chinese government take immediate action to halt these aggressive activities and uphold the principles of international law and desist from actions that would infringe on Philippine Sovereignty and endanger the lives and livelihood of Filipino fishermen who have traditionally fished in the area. The NTF-WPS remains committed to protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea.show more

𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐘𝐒 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓 𝐏𝐂𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃... 𝐁𝐅𝐀𝐑 𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐉𝐎 𝐃𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐋𝐎𝐂 The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) were subjected to a series of water cannon attacks and dangerous maneuvers by China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels this morning, 24 July 2026, while carrying out the Kadiwa ng Bagong Bayaning Mangingisda (KBBM) program in the vicinity waters of Bajo de Masinloc (BDM)—an initiative of the national government to deliver fuel subsidies and provisions to Filipino fishing boats, and to ensure the safety and security of Filipino fisherfolk exercising their legitimate rights in their traditional fishing ground. At approximately 6:26 AM, CCG vessel 3107 fired its water cannon at BRP Cape San Agustin (MRRV-4408) from a distance of approximately 400 meters, while the PCG vessel was conducting a maritime patrol approximately 15 nautical miles northeast of BDM. Prior to the incident, MRRV-4408 was being shadowed by no fewer than six CCG vessels, alongside Chinese Maritime Militia vessels operating in the area. At around 7:35 AM, CCG vessel 21581 began directing water cannon fire at the DA-BFAR vessel BRP Datu Paduhinog (MMOV 3017), which was en route to conduct its regular MCS mission approximately 12 nautical miles northeast of the shoal. CCG 21581 recklessly closed to a distance of approximately seven (7) meters off the port bow of BRP Datu Paduhinog—a maneuver that placed Filipino personnel at serious risk of collision. It is worth noting that the CCG vessel had deliberately switched off its Automatic Identification System (AIS), concealing its identity in violation of international regulations on safety of navigation. At approximately 7:53 AM, CCG 21581 scored a direct water cannon hit on BRP Datu Paduhinog, followed by two more direct water cannon attacks at around 8:00 AM. Shortly thereafter, BRP Datu Paduhinog experienced a temporary loss of its satellite internet connectivity while transiting approximately 10 nautical miles northeast of BDM; connectivity was restored at 8:36 AM. At around 8:09 AM, Chinese Maritime Militia vessel 00318 was monitored pulling a rope approx 100 meters dead astern of BRP Datu Sumakwel (MMOV 3019), an act that posed a hazard to the vessel's safe navigation. At approximately 8:55 AM, CCG vessel 3303 likewise fired its water cannon at BRP Datu Cabaylo (MMOV 3001) from approximately 300 meters dead astern. Despite these illegal, coercive, aggressive, and deceptive (ICAD) actions, all PCG and DA-BFAR personnel are safe, and the vessels sustained their presence in the area in continued support of Filipino fisherfolk exercising their legitimate rights in their traditional fishing ground. As of 9:30 AM, the PCG monitored a total of twenty-six (26) vessels in the vicinity of Bajo de Masinloc: three (3) PCG vessels, seven (7) DA-BFAR vessels, against twelve (12) CCG vessels and three (3) Chinese Maritime Militia vessels. The PCG strongly condemns the dangerous and unprofessional actions of the China Coast Guard. Bajo de Masinloc is an integral part of the Philippine territory, and its surrounding waters form part of the country's territorial sea and exclusive economic zone. The 2016 Arbitral Award has affirmed that BDM is a traditional fishing ground of Filipino fisherfolk, whose rights cannot be lawfully impeded by any foreign power. The PCG, under the leadership of Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan and in coordination with the NTFWPS, remains steadfast in adhering to the guidance of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. that is to protect Filipino fisherfolk, uphold the rule of law, and defend the country's sovereignty, sovereign rights, and jurisdiction in the West Philippine Sea—without escalating tensions and in accordance with international law, particularly the UNCLOS.show more

Little moment of kindness captured with Seedance 2.0 on... Lart AI Try it yourself: A highly realistic 12-second vertical (16:9) cinematic short film filmed as if on a smartphone with natural handheld movement. A young man is standing on a pedestrian bridge over a calm river, texting on his smartphone. He accidentally fumbles it, and the phone slips from his hand. The camera follows the phone as it tumbles realistically through the air under gravity. At that exact moment, a small fishing boat is passing beneath the bridge. The experienced boat captain notices the falling phone, quickly reacts, and skillfully lifts a fishing net upward. The phone lands safely inside the net with realistic momentum and bounce. The captain smiles, docks beside the bridge, hands the phone back to the surprised owner, who gratefully says, "Thank you so much!" The captain simply nods with a warm smile before leaving. Golden-hour natural lighting, authentic facial expressions, physically accurate falling motion, realistic boat movement and water ripples, no impossible actions, no slow motion, no CGI-style effects, no jump cuts, cinematic depth of field, natural ambient sounds only (river, birds, engine, footsteps, dialogue), emotionally uplifting ending.show more
