FROM INBOX | Harare road users no longer obey... traffic lights, which is deeply concerning as it could cost lives. The traffic lights were fully operational at the time, yet on Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Kambuzuma, this driver ran a red light. Sadly, most drivers no longer adhere to traffic signals, and we fear the day when this reckless behavior results in tragedy. Even when the light is red, only a few road users stop. This video serves as evidence of our daily reality on the roads. Zimbabwe Republic Policeshow more

In India, we show maximum EGO on our roads!... Cars were already crossing a narrow bridge when a Santro driver came from the opposite side. Instead of backing up, he decided to stand his ground and waited for over an hour. Even an Army convoy had to eventually move back just to satisfy his ego! It was a matter of a few seconds and a little compromise, but one person’s ego ended up harassing and blocking so many people for more than an hour. But why? Is proving your ego on the road really worth wasting everyone’s time?show more

Multiple arrests have been made in connection to the... horrible fires spreading across the Jerusalem hills. 16 injured and dozens of cars were abandoned on route 1 where traffic built up. People fled their vehicles led and ran. Meanwhile, Arabic social media is filled with calls to light more fires. People who love a land don’t burn it. This is not a new tactic of Palestinians or Arabs in opposition to Jews. They used fires in 2021 in southern Israel sending incendiary devices on kites into Israeli communities, and in 1936-39 they intentionally set fire to Jewish fields and used arson for terrorism.show more

Today's heavy rain around 3:00 PM exposed a serious... civic issue. The drainage grate on the Veerannapalya Flyover (Nagawara to Hebbal road) became completely blocked with garbage, causing severe waterlogging. Within minutes, the flyover was flooded, forcing traffic to come to a standstill and resulting in a 3–4 km traffic jam. I was at home when I noticed the heavy congestion on Google Maps. I immediately put on my raincoat and rushed to the location. By the time I arrived, Sector Cobra personnel had also reached the spot. Together, we cleared the garbage blocking the drainage grate. Within 15 minutes, the water drained away and traffic resumed smoothly. What surprised me the most was that more than 100 people were standing there watching, yet no one stepped forward to remove the debris. If just a few people had taken the initiative, thousands of commuters could have been spared from unnecessary delays. Even more concerning is the negligence of the agencies responsible for maintaining stormwater drains. Because of poor maintenance, the burden often falls on Traffic Police, Traffic Wardens, volunteers, and responsible citizens to solve problems that should have been prevented in the first place. Let's not be citizens who only complain. Whenever it is safe to do so, let's become part of the solution. Sometimes, a small act of responsibility can save thousands of people from inconvenience. A responsible city is built by responsible citizens. Let's all do our part. Yesterday’s flight to SYD ended up taking us 1... hour longer due to bad wx over the city/airport. We started slowing down a few hundred miles out per ATC request and ended up holding for 29min before we commenced our approach into SYD. After all these years I finally got to land on Rwy 07. With Starlink we were able to pull up FR24 to see if other aircraft were making it into SYD. Saw quite a few that made it in but also saw and heard on the radio that quite a few were already diverting. Definitely gives you good situational awareness. Close Call at John F. Kennedy International Airport Prompts... Emergency Maneuvers Two passenger jets were forced to abort their landings Monday afternoon after air traffic controllers ordered evasive action during a tense moment in the skies over New York. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when an American Airlines regional jet on final approach drifted off course and into the path of an arriving Air Canada Jazz aircraft preparing to land on a parallel runway. Anti-collision alarms sounded in both cockpits and the control tower, prompting immediate responses from both flight crews, who executed go-arounds. According to radar data, the planes came within 350 feet vertically and just over half a mile apart. Both aircraft later landed safely, and the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed it is investigating the near miss. 🎥: Flightradar24show more

"Yesterday on our way home, we broke down 2... hours away from home... on a busy interstate with three kids in tow. It wasn't exactly ideal, especially with a hungry newborn. I wouldn't get the baby out of his seat to feed him incase we got smacked by another vehicle on the highway, he was the safest in his seat. We called dispatch and AAA and an Alabama State Trooper showed up to help. I thought he was just going to divert traffic away from our lane, but he did so much more than that. He loaded the kids and I in his car and got us off the highway and to the closest rest stop. Sean stayed with the car to wait for the tow truck. He checked the bathroom for 'boogieman so Madeline could use the restroom. He shot illuminating helicopters in the sky with the kids while I made calls to try to get home. Major got really fussy when I was trying to wrangle my other children and calm them down from the evening's happenings. Without hesitation, he took Major out of his seat and gave him the bottle I had prepared from earlier. It seemed like he does that every day, knew how to hold him and when to burp him. Major even filled his pants during his feeding and the trooper laughed and continued feeding him. He then helped unload all our stuff from our car to his and drove our family to the nearest hotel. It was late, nothing was open, and we couldn't get a rental car until the morning. He helped unload our unruly amount of crap into our hotel room, told us where all the rental car places were, gave the girls a hug, and told us to call if we needed anything. That my friends... is humanity." 🙏show more

A Change of Plan…🌍 A little insight into the... realities of airline flying: sometimes the route you see on your flight tracker isn’t the one we originally planned. That’s because flight planning is a mix of science, safety, and flexibility. 🌐 One reason for changes is ATC flow management. Think of it like traffic lights in the sky, with thousands of aircraft moving through shared corridors, air traffic control sometimes adjusts our routes to keep the system flowing smoothly and safely. But today’s change wasn’t about traffic. It was about performance planning. Departing Delhi, our A350 was heavy with fuel and passengers, and the original routing led straight into an area of very high terrain. With a twin-engine aircraft, we always consider the “what if”: if one engine were to fail, how would the aircraft perform? Safety means ensuring we can still fly clear of terrain even under those conditions. That’s where ETOPS (Extended-range Twin-engine Operations) and drift down procedures come in. ETOPS rules let two-engine aircraft fly long oceanic and remote routes, but only with strict planning to guarantee diversion options. Drift down is the scenario where, after losing one engine, we calculate how the aircraft can descend to a level where it can safely continue flight and clear terrain. These are baked into every flight plan, and sometimes, the numbers don’t add up and they mean taking the longer way around. So today, instead of climbing northwest out of India, we turned south. The routing took us over Oman and the UAE, up the length of the Gulf, across Iraq, and back into our original track over western Turkey. That’s also where we passed one of my favourite places: the airfield named Batman 🦇. 👨✈️ It’s a great reminder that flying isn’t just point-to-point. Every route is carefully designed with safety, performance, and the flow of global air traffic in mind. It also means that we had a great opportunity to get some air-to-air pics of other aircraft. Will share these during the week 🙌🏻 #AvGeek #PilotLife #AirbusA350 #FlightDeckLife #ETOPS #FlightOps #AirlinePilot #AviationSafety #ProfessionalPilot #FromTheFlightDeck #FlyingTheWorld #SingleEngineDriftDown #AviationDaily #AvgeekCommunity #SkyHighViewsshow more

🚨Congestion Pricing and NYC’s Self-Inflicted Wound: Are Bus and... Bike Lanes Making Things Worse? As a lifelong New Yorker and daily driver, I’m seeing our city’s streets become more congested, less safe, and now, more costly—all thanks to street design choices that haven’t delivered on their promises. With congestion pricing on the way, drivers will soon have to pay extra for navigating roads that are bottlenecked by bike lanes, bus lanes, and pedestrian plazas. These were meant to relieve traffic and improve safety but have done the opposite. Areas like 6th Avenue, Lower Manhattan, and the West Village have seen car lanes disappear, replaced by underused bike lanes and additional bus lanes, making traffic worse. Parking is now dangerously close to bike lanes, where drivers risk being struck as they exit their vehicles. Meanwhile, bike lanes—used mainly in the warmer months—eat up space all year, adding to traffic problems without a year-round payoff. And for pedestrians, the situation isn’t much better. Crosswalks have become hazardous, with cyclists often ignoring stoplights and pedestrians’ right-of-way. What was meant to be a safer design has instead put walkers in harm’s way. Then there are the pedestrian plazas, such as those in Times Square and along Broadway. Intended as public spaces, they’ve funneled more traffic into surrounding streets and often become gathering points for crime, drug use, and loitering. What was supposed to create safe communal spaces has instead added congestion and security concerns to nearby areas. All this comes at a time when New Yorkers are already stretched thin. Between high taxes, soaring costs, and low wages, most can barely afford to live here. Adding a new congestion fee feels like punishment for a problem we didn’t create. So, what do you think? Should we keep paying for these planning missteps, or is it time to rethink the balance of our streets and find a solution that doesn’t leave New Yorkers footing the bill? IMPORTANT: Instead of giving the liars and frauds engagement,... Here are the facts about me & Ed Krassenstein 1) We've never run a p-rn site of any kind—gay, straight, or otherwise. Not that there’s anything wrong with it if it’s legal, but it simply isn’t true in our case. 2) We never scammed anyone in our lives. Not a single “victim” has ever accused us of doing so. We’ve never been arrested, charged or convicted of a crime. 3) Yes, between 2001 and 2011, we operated a massive domain name brokerage and parking business. At one point, we owned over 15,000 domains, acquired in two ways: - Bulk Purchases: We’d buy entire portfolios (sometimes over 500 domains at once) and park them for ad revenue from type-in traffic. - Automation: We developed our own code to register dropped domain names with traffic, which we then parked. - Important Clarification: Some of these domains were adult-oriented (less than 0.2%), but they were either part of large portfolios we bought or were automatically acquired from dropped domain lists. Most of these were immediately dropped as soon as we were able to. None of them were EVER developed into websites or p-rn sites. You can check the internet archives to confirm that none of these domains were adult websites during the time we owned them. 4) Yes we made a post once saying that we were buying websites and message boards aimed towards teens and young adults. The post was made approximately 20 years ago when we were either teenagers or in our early 20's and when we were running fan-club websites for musicians, entertainers and college students. We owned some of the largest internet forums related to music, school and entertainment on the internet in the early 2000’s. 5) No one pays us to Post political comments on X besides X. We have been approached by multiple PACs over the years and have always refused. The video floating around showing us claim that “we are paid by the higher ups” is an edited clip of a parody video we made. The full video is online for anyone to watch and see that it was a clear joke. 6) We did NOT buy our Twitter accounts. Both of our accounts have always been owned solely by us. We did rename them several times over the past 14 years. We still have the original emails that Twitter sent us when we created these names. It’s easy for conspiracy theorists to cobble together random bits from the internet over 20+ years and spin false narratives, but the truth is clear when you know the facts. Don’t fall for the lies—rely on the truth.show more

Destra Network| True decentralized Storage solution How Destra Decentralized... File Storage solves the centralization issues in Filecoin & IPFS Filecoin and IPFS have become synonymous with decentralized file storage, highly hyped alternatives to traditional centralized data storage systems. However, a deep dive into their architecture reveals a crucially centralized component: both networks rely on a set of centralized bootstrap nodes. Whenever a new node wants to join the Filecoin or IPFS network, it must first communicate with these bootstrap nodes to obtain information about other peers, placing complete trust in the provided information. The Filecoin team operates these bootstrap nodes on centralized cloud servers. These nodes serve as the initial points of contact for new nodes entering the network, acting as directories to facilitate the network's mesh topology, and thus are critical components of the architecture. Major Centralization Concerns: 1. Surveillance: Centralized nodes offer a concentrated point for surveillance. Authorities or malicious actors could target these nodes to gather data on user activities, node interactions, and network dynamics, posing significant privacy risks. 2. Central Control and Censorship: The operators of bootstrap nodes potentially wield significant control over the network. They can influence which parts of the network are more discoverable or enforce certain network rules, leading to a form of gatekeeping. This centralized control contrasts with the decentralization ethos of blockchain and peer-to-peer technologies. 3. Single Points of Failure: Bootstrap nodes act as central hubs through which traffic and connections are often routed, especially during the initial connection phase. This setup can create single points of failure. If these nodes are compromised, go offline, or experience technical issues, new nodes may struggle to integrate into the network, potentially taking down the whole network. At Destra, we are building the Destra Decentralized File Storage to ensure that such centralization or pseudo-decentralization has no place in our architecture. As always, we are committed to our vision of 100% decentralization, delivering an unprecedented level of decentralization to our users and the broader ecosystem. As we continue developing the Destra Decentralized File Storage, we will keep on publishing regular updates to our community.show more

Russia deliberately brings war into the New Year –... launching more than two hundred attack drones against Ukraine overnight. Most of them were successfully shot down, and I thank all our warriors who repelled this attack. The strikes hit the Volyn, Rivne, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. The targets were our energy infrastructure. Wherever necessary, rescuers are providing assistance, and power engineers are restoring electricity after the strikes. I thank every person involved in responding to the aftermath. The killings must be stopped – there can be no pauses in protecting human life. If the strikes do not stop even during the New Year holidays, then air defense deliveries cannot be delayed. Our allies have the necessary scarce equipment. We expect that everything agreed with the United States at the end of December for our protection will be delivered on time. I am grateful to everyone for their readiness to stand with Ukraine and to work for our collective security.show more

Welcome to a brand-new $BIFI, powered by Chainlink CCIP.... New and improved. Built different. We were expecting a splash when our next-generation governance model was finally unleashed… but damnnn. It shouldn’t come as a surprise though. To meet the needs of our natively cross-chain community, we needed to adopt a truly next-level cross-chain solution. No more central custodians. No single points of failure. Enter #Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), the industry-standard connectivity solution for Web3👇 Chainlink CCIP features a brand-new messaging service that facilitates lightning-fast interoperability between a wide range of blockchains. CCIP leverages multiple different Chainlink decentralized oracle networks (DONs) to pass messages to and from different chains and monitor risks, avoiding reliance on centralized actors and minimizing exposure to individual attack vectors. By rapidly and securely connecting our xERC20 token contracts across our various chains, CCIP enables the seamless minting and burning of $BIFI so you can take a slice of Beefy with you wherever you go. It’s only been 4 weeks since our new cross-chain token arrived, but the low-cost and friction-free transactions powered by CCIP are already proving popular. And with plenty more chains, protocols, and incentives to incorporate into Beefy’s liquidity flywheel, there’s so much mooooore to come. We’re just getting started.
