I was hit with the news yesterday that my... first Navy mentor, Rob Roy, passed away. Rob served 26 years in the Navy, including 20 years in the SEAL Teams. He served with DEVGRU on the East Coast and with Teams on the West Coast. When I was going through the screening process for BUD/S, Rob was in charge of the program. After I passed and received orders, he took me under his wing and spent countless weekends helping me prepare for training. After I left the Navy in 2016, Rob gave me a side gig training civilians who had earned SEAL contracts and were preparing for BUD/S. Yesterday morning, Rob was experiencing chest pains, so he drove himself to Naval Medical Center San Diego, and passed away from a heart attack at the gate. Rob had a tremendous impact on my life and on the lives of many others he mentored over the years. Till we meet again, brother. #LLTBshow more
