What is orthographic projection? #3DV2024

Happy Monday! We just added raycast sensors to mjlab.... They let a robot sample the scene with virtual rays, returning distances and surface geometry. Rays can use orthographic projection for terrain scanning or perspective projection for simulating a depth camera.show more

Added orthographic camera to Wicked Engine:

Built the tool student actually can use to finally... see Orthographic Projections- I wish I had it back then.. Orthographic Projection Visualizer- select any 3D part and instantly see the exact front, side, and top views appear live. No more guessing. No more static textbook diagrams. 20 real engineering shapes (gears, pistons, cams, connecting rods, flanges + basic primitives). Built purely for students and educators if that helps.. #EngineeringEducation #EdTech Three.js React-three-fiber #OrthographicProjection #EngineeringDrawing #CreativeCoding #STEMshow more

Perspective or orthographic for the unit/item database preview?🤔

the projection here is incredible

Every accusation is a projection.

Just a bookseller, walking home, wondering what this projection means…

In psychology, this is called "Projection"

the projection from Brian Mast here is incredible

Making a holographic projection from a transparent box is amazing!

The projection in this video is very off putting... and scary.show more

Angle projection

Just a fun experiment. Graveyard Keeper 2 is fully... done in 3D but rendered with a fixed angle orthographic camera. This what happens if we put a camera behind the player. Looks like a 3D game. But obviously with lots of glitches (as side/back faces are not texturized).show more
