When you're designing anything of even moderate interface interactivity... or complexity, state machines are a great way to help you manage that. I make these all the time, and they're remarkably useful little tools.show more

A few people have asked how I make these... animations. The answer is it's just code and a screen recording. I’ll make little jigs like this interactive timeline to dial things in, but for me I find this is still the fastest way to create and refine exactly what I want.show more

One of my favorite details for Interface Craft is... one of the least used: the invoice tool. Customers can enter the unique tax or business info they need, see what they paid in localized currency along with any discounts, and download a PDF. Thankfully Stripe makes this all fairly easy. It's something only a fraction of users see, but I think great design is sometimes about facilitating all of the edge cases to keep accounting and tax departments happy worldwide!show more

Vanakkam annamalai anna, I am not the person either... wishing you or reproaching you while you came out of our party. Since we had a great relationship, you had great respect for me and I had a great affection for you. You know me personally, what hardships I faced, and am even facing now, for my party. I am not able to hear these words that your cadres are speaking against BJP. I just wanted to know whether you approve of those speeches or not. I know you; you are a person who says anything boldly, whether it is right or wrong. Answer me, anna. Are these kinds of speeches transpiring with your consent and conscience?show more

Good software is durable. Here's an quick example of... what that means, at an interface level. In X, you can choose a custom emoji reaction. The popover looks like what I expect, but it does not work like I expect. I want to use the ‼ emoji, so the first thing I try is obviously '!'. No results. The sum of a million little papercuts like this means X feels like broken software, not well designed or made. Which is a shame, because it's a brilliant product and network.show more
