Bryson + Rahm will get most of the headlines... but it will be fascinating to see what Cam Smith does. At 32, still plenty of talent, but also one of the happiest/most content players on LIV. Couldn't have cared less about his contract in January.show more

We usually learn a road is dangerous after someone... crashes on it. Cars already driving out there can measure it instead, and show where the risk sits before anyone gets hurt. If you're deploying autonomy, that means picking a city on evidence instead of a guess, and knowing what your stack will meet there before it meets it. Feels obvious in hindsight. Most good ideas do. The crash of Jakob Söderqvist that definitively decided the... battle for the bronze medal. This is what bronze medallist Paul Seixas said after the race: “Söderqvist was very solid, he fell. It’s not something we appreciate even if it suits me. I have this slight bitterness at the thought that I finished 3rd because a guy fell and we don’t know what could have happened.” And this is what Jakob said: “I’m fully OK. It’s just some lost skin… and also a bit of lost ego, maybe. It’s just a bummer that there wasn’t much of a gap to a medal. You know that maybe this crash is what took it away. “But I knew I had to take every shot to have a chance to compete with the best guys, and so then I took a bit more risk than I usually do today. But I was happily surprised that I was up there contending with the best.” Captured by daniel.kogan #Montréal2026show more

I am really surprised more people are not more... worried about this. My children will live well into the 2100s. Their children – my grandchildren, i.e. people I will love most, will most probably live all the way to 2150. By that time, there will most likely not only be no more Poland, but the whole of Western Civilization will also have collapsed, with a demographic base of just around 100 million people, most of them old… And it will get very gloomy much before that – well inside our lifetimes… That is unless we start acting decisively about that and birth rates stay as they are… The simulation below shows what happens to a population with a fertility rate close to half the level needed for generational replacement. A Council that thinks seriously about such issues and speaks about them loudly (instead of the harmful nonsense we constantly hear…) would be a good start👇🏻show more
