Wrote some rough ground-plane collision code for my physics... datapack. It wobbles a lot when sitting still (because it only collides at one corner each tick), but looks pretty believable while it's moving.show more

I wrote a rigid body physics engine datapack for... Minecraft 1.20, and made a YouTube video about it!show more

I spent this week learning how to code Fabric... server-side mods, so that I could import a real physics engine and run it in Java. Finally got it working. This opens up a lot more possibilities.show more

One thing about the open source community is that... there is a certain kind of weaponized autism when it comes to... "physics". Even if the original model is pretty good with it, "pretty good" isn't enough. Some want it over the top, with anime aesthetics that make the physics often look a bit ridiculous. But it's these kinds of things that move video technology forward. Not cute animal videos, not images of landscapes, but rather the cringe and often embarrassing. its the same energy that moved traditional animation and video tech forward, and today it's moving with AI.show more

This guy used Opus 5 to build a tiny... device that replaced scrolling for him. Imagine a small screen, barely bigger than a watch, with hundreds of glowing blue particles floating inside. When you tilt it, they slide. When you shake it, they splash. When you hold it still, they settle like water at the bottom of a glass. It looks like actual liquid is trapped behind the screen. But it's all code running on a $15 chip. Opus 5 wrote the entire thing in C. The physics, the lighting, the way each particle reacts to your hand movements. 100 fps on a device smaller than your palm. He says he picks it up instead of reaching for his phone now. Just sits there tilting it, watching particles move.show more

Bruh I felt so embarrassed when the guy told... the other guy to not come in front of the camera. I specifically kept the camera in a corner so that no one could see it and get awkward. You could see the embarrassment on my face, although it was in a light mood as those guys keep pulling each other's legs at the Gym all the time. But I still made it clear so no one else feels that way because he was so damn loud with “oye camera hai”. You don't own the gym, it's a public gym, so chill.show more

it's been a while since we've seen keonho come... down from the stage and walk among the crowd, but he did it at yesterday's concert even if it was only for a brief moment 🥹 here are some fancams of him #KEONHO #건호show more

A 17-year-old student spent $4,200 on 7 Mac minis.... Small silver boxes. Stacked on a desk. Connected in one room. From the outside, it looked like a stupid purchase. But inside, it wasn't just 7 computers. It was Skills. Hooks. Memory. Worktrees. One machine handled repeatable tasks. One ran checks automatically. One kept context between sessions. Others ran parallel jobs without touching each other's work. While most people were still typing the same instructions again and again, his setup was already moving. A lot of people pay $200 a month for Claude and still use maybe 20% of it. He built a system around it. Skills turned repeated work into reusable workflows. Hooks made actions fire automatically. Memory stopped every session from starting at zero. Worktrees let multiple tasks run at the same time without collisions. That changed everything. Setup time: under 1 hour once. Time returned: 3 to 5 hours every day. He spent $4,200 once. He made $16,000 in the first week. Not because he found a secret tool. Not because he wrote magical prompts. Because he stopped using it like a chatbot and started using it like infrastructure. 7 Mac minis. 1 student. $4,200 in. $16,000 out. And most people would still call it just a stack of computers.show more

#49ers WR Mike Evans has told the QBs that... he's still open even when he's covered. "I mean, I'm 6'5"... I've done it throughout my career. But it's a thing you just talk to the quarterbacks about — when I'm covered, I'm still pretty open if you throw the ball up with some air."show more

Today, I was in one of Geneva's parks when... suddenly a plane flew overhead. Because of the trauma I experienced in Gaza, my first instinct was fear. For a moment, I thought it was going to drop a missile on us. Then, a few seconds later, I remembered that I am in Switzerland now, and that I am safe. War changes people in ways that are difficult to explain. Even when you leave, some parts of it remain inside you. My body may be here in Switzerland, but my memories are still in Gaza.show more

Quick update from Clark LeClair Stadium Looks like they... are tryin to blow the snow/ice off of the tarp for starters. Parking lot still has a lot of ice… but I’d imagine that will melt pretty well There is probably a 1-2” layer of ice on top of the entire field and surrounding ground. The groundscrew has their work cut out for them…. But nobody better in the business to tackle itshow more

I don't think it's Calvin Klein's fault. Just imagine,there... were so many people in just one store, and they didn't buy only one item, they bought several. So Calvin Klein supplied a huge number of products to each store, but because of the number of fans,it still wasn't enough🤷‍♀️show more

I have a little robot that unlocks my door... from the inside (so I don't have to carry a key) The problem was it wouldn't calibrate on my door. It was designed for 90° turns, but my lock only needs 15° In the past, this would've been a showstopper But I asked AI if it could help... At first, it suggested I snoop on the bluetooth connection to figure out the protocol Then it realized that we could probably just decompile the app's SDK and read its source code. That worked! It told me to switch to my mac and run some python for it. Unfortunately, it couldn't run the scripts directly because Claude Code Desktop didn't have bluetooth permissions, but my shell did. Thinking about it now, I probably should've used Claude Code or Codex in the Terminal. Anyways, it took a while, lots of backs and forths, we had some misunderstandings, it was massively overcautious in the beginning, but we finally got the lock calibrated! Feels like magic! I threw the repo up on github in case anyone in the future (ie me) runs into a similar issue – hopefully it can save them some timeshow more

It took me an unexpectedly long time to get... block damage working properly. It was hard to get the engine to differentiate between a heavy pile of stones pressing down in contact versus a high energy collision. The trick was to accumulate impulses to make them cancel out.show more

I almost stopped testing new models altogether. Not because... they were bad. Because every call left a number climbing in the corner of my screen, and at some point I started watching that number more than I was building. A flat-rate backend fixed that for agent work. I swapped my Claude Code setup to it in under 5 minutes. Here's how:show more
