In Morocco, our hotel sent someone to escort us... through airport immigration and help with bags. A nice touch I've always loved these Bentley Bentaygas. I imagined that one day I'd get one, so it was shocking that THIS was the hotel car they sent (~$300k car) The interior was beautiful. But after sitting in it for a few minutes...I realized it's just a car. Very nice and I'm glad I had the chance to ride in one, but I'm fine never owning one of these in my lifeshow more

Our team had planned to get ready and do airdrop campaigns but unfortunately our team disbanded and my family was also having problems, so I used all the money I saved to help my family overcome difficulties, my dream of doing a meme project had to be postponed, but I always wanted to do it in my heart. After many years of struggling with a difficult life, I was always interested in crypto. I arrived in America with my hike clothes .... On the third day after missing my flight to the US , I decided life had to go on . So I went to arboretum to let go and chart what next coz I had a startup to run - couldn’t afford to be depressed . I walked around, paths I’d never trailed before . Spotted butterflies . Sought my spark - how the trees excited me before , or the sheer wonder of how tall and crooked they were . Till I was calm enough for the butterflies to veer towards me - again . Then I let go . Cancelled all my travel plans , meetings , reservations etc . Then I informed my partners . It was almost 9pm when I told one of our angel investors about it , that he said we could not cancel the business trip . There and then he got me an 11pm flight to Washington DC . I had no time to change clothes . The plane was leaving in two hours and with Nairobi traffic, I just changed my hoodie and socks and left for the airport . Good thing , I had not unpacked my suitcase . I arrived at JKIA and the next stop was at Amsterdam. I couldn’t believe it . I made it on time for the event that I was invited to at Mary Mount university. Didn’t present coz I had initially cancelled but the people loved my story . How I got to SF ? I also had it find all the email receipts for furniture I got over the last few years and put in matching models. So last night at the movies, I got a... notification that my right tire pressure was low, almost flat. I feared that someone had slashed it, but after the movie was done, went outside to check. We found a nail in the tire immediately and I was so happy that I used my referral credits just last week to purchase a tire air compressor in the Tesla shop. I had credits that were going to expire and I figured while I might as well get some safety related things to put in my car since I’m having a baby soon and immediately had a use for it!! This thing works amazingly. I just thought that the timing was so serendipitous and wanted to share. Someone on X recommended I get one for my trunk and so thank you, great product!show more

I lost hearing in one ear after a night... dive in 2023. Just long enough to understand that my body and I were not in as much agreement as I had assumed. I started scuba diving in 2016. Not because I had a grand spiritual calling toward the ocean, but because I was on holiday and someone said, “You should try this.” Well, many questionable life decisions begin this way. Andaman is where things escalated. I got my PADI Open Water certification there. I upgraded to Advanced SSI certification on a small island in the Maldives. Soon, I had done about 30 dives. Enough to stop panicking about breathing through a tube. Enough to believe I belonged there. (and wanted to get a tattoo!) Night dives, however, have a way of humbling you. They make you feel both brave and faintly foolish. They were my favourite dives. It was on one such dive that my ear decided it had had enough of this arrangement. The next morning, the hearing in one ear had faded. I assumed it would return. After all, the body is usually efficient at repairing our minor betrayals. :) It did not. A doctor informed me that my eardrum had retracted. Treatment lasted about ten days. Everything returned to normal. Hearing was restored. Crisis neatly folded away. Except I never went back to scuba diving. Fear took over. This morning, I woke up wanting it again. I suspect parts of us remain suspended in places we once loved, waiting for our return, like muscle memory. Dormant, but never gone. One day, I will go back and become her again.show more

i don’t really talk about my personal life online... outside of my contention creation because i don’t like to break my immersion i have, before dating my brother i was in an extremely abusive relationship, id fly out to my ex and he would beat me and threaten me with a gun. I’ve also never gotten an abortion you guys are kinda dumb conception doesn’t work overnight but i’ve never had any sort of medical intervention for that in my life, my location had mistakenly shown i was in a hospital so my friend told me to lie about it to my ex at the time and it spread around. this brings me to the hotel situation. im being accused of trashing this hotel room from last year which i shared for a convention with some ex friends . i slept in the corner away from everyone you can literally see my stuff neatly away from everyone else’s I told my friend previously i had no MONEY for the hotel payment was only brought up afterwards. 1/?show more

For those of you wondering, I was able to... call my bank and get my money back 🙏🏻 Thank you so much to everyone who helped me out last night!! Also, I saw a few of you wondering why I even got scammed in the first place. Obviously looking at the accounts now (and a few others i was talking to 💀) I can see all the red flags.. But in the moment I was driving to the stadium from the suburbs after working all day so I just didn’t have time to vet anything. Also, the proof they provided was super realistic.. and I just didn’t have enough ticketing experience to tell the difference 🤦🏻‍♀️ At the end of the day I’m super grateful I got to be there for Chicago day 1 💜 and I hope my lesson can serve as a PSA for ARMY to always be careful and stay safe when ticketing 🙏🏻show more
