Today vs March 21 Little tangent here. Scared dogs... don’t make puppies… I’ve been farming my whole life. In 2011 I lost my dad to cancer and the family looked at me to put out the crop. My dad made decisions. He was a leader. When I became responsible to seed, fertilize, spray, etc… 3,000 acres I knew I had 1 talent from when I was a kid. I have a memory like no other. I can tell you what hybrid I plant, pop, rate, day the last 14 years because I am engaged. When everyone was telling me exactly how to do things. I was more curious of what happens when I change a variable here or there. What was the elasticity of that decision or management. In weather forecasting they have a similar system that I was somewhat inspired by called ensemble forecasts where they change variables slightly and see how weather systems behave differently as time progresses. I could lean on my memory. I was bored AF quite honestly to do the same thing over and over again. What happens to corn if you skip a row or 2 or plant it thin or thick? Beans…can you broadcast them? Can you plant wheat with a shit tank? Can you run it over? When it’s 4” tall… what about 6” what about 13” Could you rotationally graze inside a cash crop and empower edge effect elasticity and fertilize simultaneously? It would drive some people crazy as they would wonder if you should plant 160,000 or 176000 beans per acre? What’s the difference…nothing. What’s the difference between 20” corn and 2040” corn? Full season likes the latter….early yields best crowded. Fuck around and Find out isn’t just some tic tok deal. It’s how you don’t become a scared dog. It calms your nerves as most people freak out about things that don’t really matter. Because they never had the balls to try anything else than what their dad did. I always felt like I needed to learn why and how things worked if I was ever going to become a better farmer. What matters are the derivatives, the 1st principles. I think I’m the only Korean in the world... invited to Tesla’s Cybercab launch this week. And from what I can tell so far on 𝕏, Tesla/Elon invited only around ~20 or so people, not counting +1s. But that’s the part I can’t stop thinking about… Why make an event this important THIS exclusive? Cybercab is a vehicle with no steering wheel and no pedals, built from the ground up for autonomous transportation. If Tesla pulls this off at scale, it will completely change what a car is, what it costs to move people around, and eventually what transportation itself means. So why invite only a tiny handful of people to witness the beginning of it? There has to be a reason… And whatever happens on September 3, I’m forever grateful to Tesla and Elon for trusting me with an invite to be there in person and witness a moment like this. Weekend Storm Update Despite what you might have heard…... I am STILL tracking the potential for a significant snow event this weekend. If it happens, the snow would arrive Sunday afternoon/evening. Model Guidance has been all over the place but I’ve been fairly consistent with my message: This looks like a Miller B Nor’Easter. Miller B storms typically have a mix line that sets up along I-78/I-80 in eastern PA and NJ. The European Model suggests that mix changes over to heavy snow as this storm strengthens. Whether or not that actually happens is pure speculation at this point. There are some non-linear processes that need to go exactly correct for this storm to produce significant snow. A year and a day ago, I lost a... very special friend. What started through Make-A-Wish became a friendship I’ll always treasure. Daily, I would get a video or text from her and her friends…She brought so much joy into my life, and I miss hearing from her. I have yet to break the habit of waiting for a video from her. They truly made me smile. When I learned she wasn’t doing well, I got on a plane to Minnesota to be with her. She passed while I was in the air. Her family showed me a kindness I’ll never forget by letting me say goodbye. They also gave me her favorite blanket and the journal she kept about our time together. I still haven’t been able to read it. One day, I will. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her. She reminded everyone around her how much light one person can bring into their day and their lives, no matter how short their time here. Missing you always. ❤️show more

I am really surprised more people are not more... worried about this. My children will live well into the 2100s. I try my best to not talk about Irish... politics, but getting sent things like this by my Garda friends just angers me too much. This happened today. The police (Gardai) in Ireland have been attacked and bullied by scumbags for years now. They know they can get away with it. Stripped of any power to do anything about it. The Gardai are trained to retreat and not engage when violence breaks out. This is what happens when you remove your police forces ability to police. The Gardai voted with an enormous majority vote of no confidence against the head of the Gardai. Our minister for justice ignored them. Overworked, underpayed, and stripped of any protection in policing. I know policing in America is a sore topic for good reason. Ye are on the other side of the spectrum. Too much power. This is what happens when you swing to the other side. Chaos. I’m ashamed of how Ireland is being governed. A failed socialist state.
