During the operation, one individual, Pattala Ashok, was apprehended for running the unit without a valid license and for engaging in the manufacture and sale of adulterated, unhygienic, and expired ice cream products, in violation of provisions under Cr. No.118/2026, U/Sec. 125, 318(4) of BNS, Musheerabad Police Station. The inspection revealed that the unit was involved in large-scale production and distribution of substandard ice cream products of various flavours, including Mango, Vanilla, American Nuts, Butter Scotch, Dry Fruit, Strawberry, Cream & Cookies, Special Flavours, and Malai Kulfi, along with small “Pepsi” ice cream packs. These were being supplied to wholesale and retail markets under misleading claims of quality. It was further observed that expired ingredients such as Pineapple and Custard Apple flavouring agents, along with synthetic food colours, were being used in the preparation process, posing significant health risks to consumers. The premises were maintained under highly unsanitary conditions, with improper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products, rendering them unfit for human consumption. A substantial quantity of adulterated ice cream products, synthetic food colours, and expired flavouring agents, collectively valued at approximately ₹1,75,000/-, were seized during the raid. The apprehended individual along with the seized material has been handed over to the SHO, Musheerabad Police Station, for further investigation and necessary legal action. The accused, Mohammed Junaid Hussain, illegally manufactured adulterated dairy products, including ghee, cow cream, and buffalo cream. He sold them under the brand "Pride Dairy" located in Bholanagar, Banjara Hills, Road no 12. Two godowns located in Regharpura, Karol Bagh, where these fake products were being packaged and branded, were sealed. A factory in Moti Nagar, Delhi, where packaging boxes of these companies’ products were manufactured, was also sealed. Eight machines used in the illegal operation were seized. Two people were arrested in the case for packaging counterfeit products on a large scale and selling them in the market under the names of reputed brands. In a major operation, the AGS Unit of Delhi Police Crime Branch sealed two godowns and one factory linked to counterfeit products and packaging material of reputed mobile brands such as OPPO, OnePlus and Realme. Acting on a tip-off about the sale of ganj in the Pulianthope, a team from the Basin Bridge Police Station, led by Sub-Inspector Krishnakumar and other personnel, conducted a raid on a house in Gandhi Nagar Fifth Street on Sunday night. The house belonged to Nandakumar, 26, who is listed as a history-sheeter by the police. During the search, officers seized 29 packets of ganja weighing a total of 10 grams and six syringes from the premises. Police said women present in the house initially objected to the search and attempted to prevent officers from carrying out the raid. After Nandakumar was arrested and police attempted to take him into custody, his mother and other female relatives assaulted the officers. According to police, the officers used force to protect themselves and bring the situation under control. A video showing the confrontation between police personnel and the family members subsequently went viral on social media platforms. Nandakumar was taken to the Basin Bridge Police Station, where a case was registered against him under relevant provisions relating to possession of narcotic substances. He was inquired further. In a related development, Nandakumar’s mother, Meena, went to the police station and demanded her son’s release. Police said she injured her wrist with a razor blade during the protest and argued with officers inside the station premises. She was later sent away after intervention by police personnel. Based on credible information, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team of Hyderabad City Police, along with Sanath Nagar Police, conducted a raid at premises within the limits of Sanath Nagar and apprehended one individual who was involved in adulterating tea powder using synthetic chemicals. On inquiry, the main accused, Jagannath Bishnoi (33), disclosed that he was involved in the adulteration of tea powder for the purpose of illegal profit. He stated that he used to purchase cocopeat, filter excess coconut husk, and mix it with hot jaggery water, after which the mixture was dried for two to three days. After drying, synthetic food colours—Sunset Yellow and Tartrazine Orange—were added, which were absorbed by the jaggery-mixed cocopeat. The coloured mixture was again allowed to dry before being used in the adulteration process. For preparing one kilogram of adulterated tea powder, the accused mixed 450 grams of low-quality tea dust, 500 grams of low-quality tea granules, and 50 grams of colour-mixed cocopeat. He further stated that the adulterated tea powder was supplied and sold to local tea stalls and other dealers at a higher price, misrepresenting it as genuine tea powder. The general public is advised to purchase tea powder only from authorized and reputed sellers and to report any suspected cases of food adulteration to the concerned authorities. Food business operators are warned that involvement in food adulteration, which poses a serious risk to human life, will attract criminal cases and strict legal action. Tumakuru district witnessed a thrilling chase scene on Monday... that could rival a movie script. Information has now come to light that the national highway was briefly blocked during an operation to apprehend accused involved in a theft at Jagadamba Jewelry store near #BencheGate in #Kalamabella, #Shira taluk. Thanks to the courageous pursuit by locals and swift police action, four accused individuals were finally caught. After the robbery that took place on February 22 around noon, the accused fled in a Bolero car. Locals chased them for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, covering an estimated 15 kilometers on the national highway. The accused's vehicle reached up to #Tavarekere. During this chase, the locals provided information about the robbers' vehicle to the police. Upon receiving the information, police immediately barricaded and blocked the national highway at Tavarekere, setting a trap for the accused. However, noticing the police alert, the accused made a U-turn on the highway itself and escaped. They managed to evade the police for some time. Unable to flee Tumakuru district, the accused took refuge in the Huilu Dore forest area. Based on information, police conducted a combing operation in the forest overnight. First, an individual named Dungar Singh fell into the police net. Later, around midnight, Mahendra Singh and Madhu Singh were arrested. In the early morning, Arvind was also found in the same forest. After raid it's found, operators of 10 manufacturing units were mixing artificial synthetic colours and using low-quality materials to increase profits.
