#100homes100stories

As we continue our #100Homes100Stories series, we honor U.S. Army Master Sergeant Cedric King, our 33rd specially adapted smart home recipient. On July 25, 2012, while leading his platoon during a reconnaissance mission in Afghanistan, Cedric stepped on an IED. The blast resulted in major internal injuries, damage to his right arm, and the amputation of both legs. But that wasn’t the end of Cedric’s story, it was the beginning of a remarkable new chapter. Since his injury, Cedric has run marathons, completed a half Ironman, authored a book, and inspired thousands with his message of resilience and faith. He once said, “Love comes from the part of us that is not visible from the outside. It’s the part of us that you can’t touch, but you can definitely feel.” We’re honored to support Cedric and his continued journey of purpose and service.
