The latest avian influenza (or #BirdFlu) update for November, 2024 as the disease continues to spread: - New outbreaks in 24 countries in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. - New outbreaks/events in birds are increasing (183 outbreaks in poultry and 173 in non-poultry birds and mammals). - About 8.7 million poultry birds died or were culled due to the disease. -The recurrence of bird flu in Antarctica is concerning given its impact on local biodiversity.
