#CaughtTheirEyes: Despite false reports that Nicki Minaj was dropped by her legal representation The Source Magazine has come to clarify the facts of Nicki Minaj's defamation suit. Nicki Minaj is now represented by the North Star Group (Founded by Londell McMillan). The North Star group notoriously was over Prince's estate as they battled Jay-Z/ Roc Nation/ Tidal and accused them of illegally streaming his music on the platform after Prince's death. Prince from the beginning of his career to the time of his death maintained he did not want the industry to control his music. Yet Jay-z claims Prince gave him exclusive rights to stream his music on tidal when in fact it was just 1 album. Londell has represented artists such as Kanye West, Michael Jackson, Prince and many more. His company still manages Prince's estate. This all unfortunate given Londell grew up around Jay-Z and has known him 30 plus years. Lots of people have alleged that Jay-Z's masters set Prince up to take his masters but again that's alleged.
