Alert #Hyderabadi ⚠️, Just imagine how Harmful #Chemical -laced #Adulterated #Spices , such as Cloves , Shahjeera, Saunf , Mustard .., we having everyday, busted by #HFAST VC Sajjanar, #Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Demonstrated how to spot #AdulteratedSpices : The CP placed adulterated and pure Cloves, Shahjeera, Fennel Seeds (Saunf) into separate transparent glasses filled with water. The water containing the adulterated, chemically-coated spices changed color immediately, whereas pure spices did not. Genuine cloves and seeds feel rough and natural, while chemical-coated adulterated feel unnaturally smooth. Task Force and H-FAST (Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team) DCP, Vaibhav Gaikwad showed certain Adulterated Mustard Seeds not lose colour even after mixing in water and said: At one of the manufacturing facilities, low-quality and rejected mustard stocks were adulterated by mixing fabric dye, talcum powder, and oil to enhance the spice’s gloss, weight, and overall volume. In other units, spices such as cloves and shahjeera were found coated with synthetic colours to give them a bright and premium appearance. Permanent industrial dyes were used to adulterate Cloves, Shahjeera, Saunf, and several other essential spices. The accused said that they learnt of the adulteration methods from Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Sajjanar said. Holding a sachet used for adulterating mustard seeds, Mr. Sajjanar said ‘poisonous and non-edible’ was written on it.

Arrested 10 persons. Based on credible information about large-scale adulteration of tea powder, the Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) team of Hyderabad City Police raided at 15 manufacturing units, involved in the preparation and supply of adulterated Tea Powder. After raid it's found, operators of 10 manufacturing units were mixing artificial synthetic colours and using low-quality materials to increase profits. Expired materials also found, they were supplying to roadside vendors as well as reputed vendors. The accused shows the media how they Mixing Synthetic colours in low quality tea. In the Operation 10 persons were arrested and seized 3000 kg Adulterated Tea Powder and 1500 kg Expired Tea Powder, 100 kg Jaggery powder and artificial synthetic colours. Investigation revealed that the accused were involved in unsafe and illegal practices such as mixing artificial colours, jaggery juice, used tea powder, and expired tea powder to improve appearance. The accused procured low-quality tea powder from vendors in Kolkata, Kerala and Assam, and adulterated the same using synthetic food colours such as Sunset Yellow FCF, Tartrazine and Total dye colour. Arrested Accused persons: 1) Paresh Rajan, Kompally, Supplier of colour 2)Sanju Pati, Petlaburj, Prepares colour & mixes 3)Satish,Musheerabad, Mixing colour & supply 4)Naveen, Bowenpally, Mixing colour 5)Narsimha,Asifnagar,Mixing colour, 250g illegal packets 6)Chunnilal Chaudhary, Rajendranagar,Preparing adulterated tea powder 7)Narsimulu,Borabanda, Mixing colour & supply 8)Rajesh, Petlaburj, Mixing colour & supply 9)Ravinder, Bidar,Mixing colour & supply 10)Waseem,Mallepally, Mixing Colour Sd/- Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, IPS, DCP, Task Force, Hyderabad City Police.
