Mission Ready. Counter-Terror Ready. #GeneralDhirajSeth, #COAS, visited Rashtriya Rifles Sector Headquarters under Chinar Corps🍁 - Indian Army and reviewed operational preparedness for counter-terrorist operations. He was briefed on the prevailing security situation and measures instituted to detect, deter and decisively respond to terrorist threats. #COAS commended all ranks for their professionalism, commitment and high standards of operational preparedness. He exhorted them to maintain constant vigilance, sharpen intelligence led operations and retain the ability to respond swiftly and precisely to emerging threats. He also underscored the importance of seamless synergy and close coordination with all stakeholders to enhance situational awareness and strengthen the overall counter-terror response. #COAS Commendations were pinned to deserving soldiers for their gallantry and exemplary service, recognising their courage and contribution to counter-terrorist operations. Mission Ready. People Centric. #GeneralDhirajSeth, #COAS, visited the 10th edition of ‘Operation Drishti’, an Indian Army surgical eye camp at #Tangdhar on 25 September and interacted with the medical team, beneficiaries and veterans. In the remote valleys and high reaches of Jammu & Kashmir, where access to specialised healthcare remains a challenge, Operation Drishti is bringing more than medical care—it is restoring sight, dignity and hope. Over 6,000 people have been screened, with more than 400 surgeries being undertaken for cataract, glaucoma and retinal ailments. The #COAS lauded the medical fraternity for this unprecedented initiative and its commitment to serving the people of the region. The heartfelt gratitude of the people of Tangdhar and the surrounding areas is a reminder that the Army’s commitment extends beyond securing the borders.
