Update : Liberian container vessel MSC ELSA 3 sank off Kochi today. A coordinated response by Indian Coast Guard and SpokespersonNavy ensured safe rescue of all 24 crew members. ICG rescued 21 personnel; 3 senior crew were evacuated by #INSSujata in a prompt daring naval operation. The vessel was carrying 640 containers, including hazardous cargo, along with 450+ MT of fuel. Indian Coast Guard has activated full pollution response. Aerial surveillance by CG aircrafts and #ICGSSaksham with containment equipment are deployed. Details :
