Even before #LaBolaNegra makes history this weekend as first #Netflix release to receive a full theatrical window at US #BoxOffice, it’s already breaking records in homeland #Spain! In just 17 days, Festival sensation reached a $26.4M (€23.7M) cume, beating #PerfectStrangers’s $25.8M run (€21.3M back in 2017) as #11 highest grossing local film in Spain’s #BoxOffice in dollars. In local currency, it’s not only entered the all time Top10 local films at Spain’s #BoxOffice, beating #MortadeloAndFilemonTheBigAdventure’s €22.8M local run back in 2003 as #8 highest grossing local films ever in in Spain, but it’s only €10M away from entering the overall Top10, mostly dominated by Hollywood productions. The film has already amassed almost 3.5M admissions in Spain alone.
