𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 | 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁 𝗡 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗠𝗩𝗖 (𝗣) #SpearCorps commemorated the 27th Memorial Day of Capt N Kenguruse, #MahaVirChakra (Posthumous), paying homage to the #Kargil War hero who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the Nation. GOC #SpearCorps laid a wreath to honour the braveheart, while the parents of Capt Kenguruse were felicitated for their unwavering courage, resilience and sacrifice. Braveheart's Family Voluntarily Deposits #MahaVirChakra to Garhwal Rifles of Indian Army During the Indo-Pak War of 1965, Captain CN Singh of Garhwal Rifles, led a daring attack in #Poonch Sector on 5th August 1965. Despite being critically injured, he continued to lead the troops in successfully capturing the enemy post. For his exemplary leadership & conspicuous bravery, he was awarded the #MahaVirChakra (Posthumous). Today on the 60th year of his supreme sacrifice, his brother Shri Sukhdev Singh, handed over the #MahaVirChakra to Lieutenant General D S Rana, CINCAN and the Colonel of Garhwal Rifles & Garhwal Scouts at Dharamshala for displaying in the Regimental Centre to motivate future generations.
