NEW: My former FOX 11 Los Angeles colleague Kevin captured video of the moment the #PalisadesFire first broke out on Tuesday morning. He runs AIRLINE VIDEOS at LAX, where he has live cameras set up. At 10:26 AM, as a Delta flight lands, you see the first small plume of smoke in the hills in the background. At 10:28 AM, as a United flight lands, the smoke plume can be seen growing larger. Flight from San Jose to LAX. Before the flight, the pilot warned of high winds and turbulence. He suspended all food and drink service before we took off. As we approached LAX, we could see the smoke from the #palisadesfire moving across the sky. This is what we saw as we flew through the smoke. 🙏 (Pardon the shakiness and scratched up window.)
