#Syria: slowly but surely, Rukban Camps is being emptied. After being stuck there (in middle of desert) for years, the refugees started to come back to their hometowns (mostly from Homs & DeZ provinces). Video shows the arrival yesterday of 44 families in town of #Palmyra.

#Syria: Assad's forces are also vacating the strategic town of #Palmyra in the E. Homs desert. Local FSA fighters are taking over the area. Substantial spoils can be expected, as the region (nearby Mounts) hosts large SAA storage bases. They also withdrew from Qaryateen.

#Syria: "Jund Karar" claims it targeted US troops at #Palmyra Airbase last night using Grad rockets. However, there's no American presence there and local sources deny any attack or explosions. So far, none of Jund Karar's claims - an #IRGC-affiliated group - are verified, with several appearing to be clearly false, increasingly suggesting the group is part of a psychological operation.

#Syria: a recent video from #Palmyra shows a house that had been used as a military base by #IRGC Fatemiyoun Brigade. Interestingly there are rock-IEDs with desert camouflage. This also serves as a warning to residents returning, as the house is located in the middle of residential areas.
