Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains has spearheaded #PunjabEducationRevolution with remarkable progress made in 3 years under AAP Govt with key advancements including revamping of school infrastructure, innovative teacher training methods Dr. Sandeep Pathak Manish Sisodia ✅14 Schools of Eminence launched, & 13 more ready to launch with 2000 classrooms/labs under construction ✅Each SOE has Hi-tech state-of-the-art classrooms - digital classrooms equipped with projectors, LEDs, interactive smart boards with integrated speakers & subject specific electronic content libraries, well equipped labs, world class sports facilities, coaching facilities for competitive exams, innovative teaching methods ✅Mission Samarth implemented to improve foundational literacy and numeracy for 14 lakh students, achieving 15% growth in primary, and 25% in upper primary learning outcomes ✅The percentage of children who can do atleast subtraction in grade 3 has increased from 44.8% to 51.1% from 2022 to 2024, and the gains are driven by government schools as per ASER report ✅Business blasters (Phase II) implemented in 1920 schools with 1.83 lakh students participating . Rs 10.41 cr dispersed as seed funding to 52,050 students, with 5050 teachers trained as mentors. ✅IIT JEE & NEET coaching is provided for grade 11 & 12 students. ✅7082 schools have had their boundary walls constructed or repaired. ✅More than 10,000 general toilets and 12,272 CWSN - friendly toilets have been built to ensure inclusivity. ✅95,000 dual desks provided to schools. 100% drinking water coverage ensured in all 19242 schools ✅High-speed Wi-Fi provided in 16,000 + schools with 969 more in progress ✅230 buses deployed for 114 schools, due to which school strength has almost doubled ✅2042 campus managers, 1265 security guards, 2012 chowkidars, and 8502 sanitation workers employed for the upkeep of school campuses. ✅1809 ICT labs, 50 VR labs, 7868 smart classrooms implemented in 3839 schools to enhance digital learning. ✅Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) established to track attendance, student evaluation, textbook, & uniform distribution 21.8 lakh parents participated in the statewide Mega PTM held on October 22, 2024. ✅School Management Committees (SMC) established in 19000 + schools, now including social workers and educationists. ✅3949 schools equipped with rooftop solar panels ✅19.5 lakh students received free textbooks ✅13.4 lakh students (Grade 1-8) received uniforms under Samagra Shiksha ✅1236 schools upgraded with modern sports infrastructure ✅198 principals trained in educational leadership in Singapore, 72 teachers trained in Early Childhood & Primary Education in Finland, 102 headmasters trained in Leadership & Resource optimization at IIM Ahmedabad ✅15096 teachers recruited since April 2022, with 12316 volunteers regularized ✅5 ITIs upgraded under MPLAD, 23 ITIs enhanced with Rs 12.72 cr under World bank STRIVE project ✅Through Aarambh, an initiative to transform early childhood education, 3.8 lakh low-income families are empowered, launched from 8 districts by providing daily educational content via WhatsApp.
