Sixty years ago, in July 1965, Jim Morrison and #RayManzarek met through a chance encounter on Venice Beach and started talking music. Thus began what would become one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s: The Doors. From their beginnings, The Doors were a fusion of creative energies - combining poetry’s headiness and rock’s accessibility, bound together in a hazy, acid-fueled fever dream. In 1993, the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame of Fame by Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, who (along with Don Was) joined band members Manzarek, Official Robby Krieger, and John Densmore to perform "Roadhouse Blues", "Light My Fire", and "Break On Through" at the ceremony.
