Today's #SaturdaySleeper is RHP Ryan Dromboski (Penn Baseball). The 6'2", 205-pound righthander was the 2023 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year after posting a 3.17 ERA with 97 strikeouts across 71 innings pitched. Set a new Penn single-game strikeout record with 15 against Princeton. Will pitch in the 90-93 (T4/5) MPH range with his fastball that has run and sink at times. Calling card with Dromboski are his secondaries. Tight-spinning low-80s slider has plenty of horizontal movement and is his go-to out pitch. Generates plenty of swing and miss and had a 53% miss rate in '23. Dromboski also has advanced feel for a high-70s changeup that he's comfortable throwing to both right and lefthanded hitters. Plenty of arm side fade and tumbling action. A self-proclaimed "psychopath" on the mound (love it!), Dromboski will headline a deep Penn pitching staff and has a chance to be a day 2 selection in this year's Draft.

Today’s #SaturdaySleeper is RHP Sean Matson (Harvard Baseball). Matson this summer was legitimately untouchable, pitching his way to a sparkling 0.00 ERA with 26 K to just 3 BB across 21.2 innings. The Cape League All Star was named the Most Outstanding Relief Pitcher for his performance. The 6’2”, 210-pound righthander attacks from a high-3/4 slot, features a short, quick arm stroke and has some natural deception in his delivery. Matson hides the ball well and is an athletic mover. His FB this summer was sat in the 89-92 MPH range (t94), but it played up due to its riding life (averaged 21.1” of IVB at school) and the fact that it looks like he’s throwing it out of his back pocket. This summer it generated a 29% miss rate. The main attraction with Matson are his secondary offerings. Between his CH and SL, opposing hitters hit a combined .054 (2 total hits, both against the SL). Low-80s SL features tons of sweeping action and he throws it with conviction. 42% miss rate this summer, 60 offering. To round out his arsenal, Matson throws a mid-70s CH that on average is 14+ MPH off his FB. It has plenty of tumbling action and seemingly disappears 1-2 feet in front of the plate. While he might be most effective in a 1-3 inning role, Matson this July has top-10 round upside. (🎥: Cape League)
