On this beautiful #ScorseseSunday, I feel obligated to note that while Javier Bardem is doing amazing things as Max Cady for Apple TV, Robert De Niro’s performance remains untouched. I’m so conflicted seeing Bardem crush this character because deep down, it’s not as good as Bob.

It’s a beautiful #ScorseseSunday & a reminder that Raging Bull should be mentioned as Marty’s career high point, as with De Niro. Goodfellas & Taxi Driver are frequently at the top of most people’s lists, but Raging Bull is some of the best filmmaking I’ve ever seen from Marty.

On this beautiful #ScorseseSunday, I wonder what Marty would think of the recent tectonic changes in Hollywood. On the one hand, Marty’s worked with Netflix in the past so as to get his movie made. On the other hand, no one believes in the theater experience more than Scorsese.

Taxi Driver turns exactly 50 years old today & as luck would have it, on a #ScorseseSunday. This film literally changed everything & was so far ahead of its time in how it explored themes of alienation & radicalization. Not to mention one of the best on-screen performances ever.
