#GeneralUpendraDwivedi, #COAS visited a forward post in #Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield and interacted with the valiant troops of 18 JAK RIF. The visit was emotionally resonant, as it brought the #COAS back to the very battalion he was once commissioned into and had the honour to command. In a truly touching moment filled with nostalgia, the #COAS reunited with seven Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) soldiers who had served under his leadership in the battalion as young soldiers. A small clip of #soldiering in #Siachen . Those who have served the #Nation can understand, Those who have not can try. I served 22 years back with fairly good equipment. Now it is far better. But imagine what happened to those who served in 1980s. I just wonder myself. The equipment was vintage but those old time soldiers had rock solid heart.
