I condemn attempts by President Ruto and his political acolytes to use political violence and intimidation to stop our voter registration #UkatibaCaravan in Tharaka University today. We will not be intimidated. I would like to thank our people of Tharaka Ninthi for coming out and receiving us warmly in Chogoria town and at Chuka University. Let us register in large numbers and vote out Ruto and his regime.

On our way to Samburu County, we stopped at Tangulbei, Baringo County. We were reminded that what we are doing with the #UkatibaCaravan is different as many politicians do not go to Tangulbei nor listen to the grievances of the people. We heard of long-standing neglect, a strong sense of marginalisation, especially amongst the pastoralist community and lack of inclusion of their youth and community in regional & national development. This is what propels me each day, to drive through rough terrain- not helicopters- to listen to our people. We wrapped up the #UkatibaCaravan in Garissa County. The day began in Garissa Town with an appeal for voter registration, then we made stops in Soko Ng'ombe, Shimbirey Village and Modogashe. The wealth of a people is the source of their pride as people who work and produce. A government must provide the infrastructure to build industry, markets and good prices for meat and milk. Registering as a voter gives you the opportunity to elect that kind of government. A government that will be sensitive. A government of #Ukatiba and #Utu #UkatibaNdioTiba
