#WhyILoveKenya 🇰🇪 We recently launched a new video promoting Kenya Tourism Board , and I have seen comments questioning why the campaign appears to target European audiences, with claims that Africans are only portrayed as dancing and serving visitors. Let’s address this with facts. In tourism marketing, every campaign has a specific target market. International tourism is inbound tourism, and it brings much-needed foreign exchange, jobs, and investment into the country. Like any global destination, Kenya must market itself strategically to the markets that travel long-haul. At the same time, Kenya continues to promote tourism to its own people. Our recent domestic campaign, “Hapa Ni Wapi,” was designed specifically to encourage Kenyans to explore and appreciate their own country. Tourism marketing is not a one-size-fits-all strategy. Different markets require different messaging, visuals, and storytelling. So before rushing to conclusions, it helps to understand how global tourism marketing actually works. Kenya’s story is bigger than a single clip. It is about our wildlife, culture, landscapes, hospitality, and people — and sharing that story with the world benefits the entire country. The response from crowd is natural, don't we all rally behind an underdog who is showing a seasoned world's best some dust. #whyilovekenya The Marsabit you never see, today allow me to share a rare clip of dense Marsabit Forest home to two crater lakes . Kenya is such a diverse nation , we should count ourselves very lucky. Lake paradise is also where Marsabit Lodge is located ( sadly it has been closed for years). It's about time that this lodge or where the lodge sits found a serious investor. The lodge sits on the rim of the lake. Spot it in the first crater lake on extreme right. All the rooms would face the lake. This can host a safari lodge with meeting rooms while the 2nd lake can host upmarket boutique safari lodge. Kenya Tourism Board KAHC Kenya NゲージのKATO Marsabit forest is also home to Ahmed one of the biggest call him giant Tusker Elephant to have ever lived. The first and only Elephant or animal that was given presidential protection in the 70s. Well the remains of Ahmed is preserved at the Nairobi National Museums. Kenya is serious about conservation. Marabit forest is home to elephants , Leopard, buffaloes, Hyenas and over 280 bird species. Thank you Kenya Wildlife Service. Well yours truly grew up on the slopes of this forest and every friday afternoon as young boys we would head deep into the forest to swim in one man made dam that was named 50 deep.
