/ For 2023, we're kicking off the year with our most comprehensive and important report yet covering: 🔹DeFi 🔹Infrastructure 🔹Gaming 🔹NFTs 🔹Markets Let's take a sneak peak at what's in store 👀⬇️

/ All five sections are neatly organized to be concise yet comprehensive, and easily navigable. Here is the table of contents for DeFi, packed with everything you need to know for the year going forward.

/ A look into DeFi We’ve seen groundbreaking innovation and careless clones. The issue sits between actors focused on short-term profits & problems of user acquisition... the double-edged sword of permissionless innovation. Nevertheless, we remain optimistic DeFi will thrive

/ DeFi continued One topic we explore is VeTokenomics. Projects are implementing veTokenomics as a levered liquidity-mining program without concrete objectives. All roads eventually lead to a laissez-faire approach with value to be extracted while inching towards equilibrium

/ A look into Infrastructure It's important to ask why, despite inherent custodial risks, CEXs continue to attract capital at such orders of magnitude. Reflecting on this question, it becomes evident that current infrastructure rails are immature across a number of fronts.

/ Infrastructure continued A topic we explore here is how various different blockchain architectures coexist to accommodate the current user load. We can categorize these architectures into four buckets.

/ A look into Gaming The fusion of conventional game wisdom with hard-learned insights from the early cycle are laying a robust foundation for the years ahead. For Web3 games to reach their true potential, they must deliver experiences as seamlessly as gamers are used to.

/ Gaming continued One topic we take a look at is how crypto will serve as the backend accounting engine that facilitates ticketing, payments, player NFT contracts (on-chain reputation), automated tournament smart contracts, and so on.

/ A look into NFTs NFTs are inherently interesting to more people because they lie at the intersection of technology, art, culture, and entertainment. They have the power to be the trojan horse that onboards the next big wave of people into crypto.

/ NFTs continued One topic we dive into is royalties. Few people are willing to pay royalties when there’s no incentive to. We observed a steep decline in trades that include royalties (e.g., only 10-20% on Magic Eden) once royalties were made optional by the platform.

/ A look into Markets What’s happening in macro has a direct impact on crypto markets, as we’ve seen not just over the last 2 years, but the last few cycles. Global liquidity is the most powerful force...and one we believe will have a significant market impact in 2023.

/ Markets continued Here, we take a look at the relationship between year-over-year % changes in major central bank total assets vs. BTC (same relationship holds for total crypto market cap ex-megacaps).

/ Everything that you need to know for Crypto, DeFi, Infrastructure, Gaming, NFTs and Markets in 2023 will be found in this report. Our definitive best report yet. Free now for all to enjoy, be sure to share it with others. 🫂 READ NOW➡️
