PS: ChatGPT 3.5 is hallucinating even with custom instructions. GPT-4 seems to be doing reasonably well with custom instructions.

Dr Mushtaq, thank you for sharing. Custom Instructions work wonders for GPT 3.5. My question, if I were to upgrade to GPT 4, do I still need to make new Custom Instructions? Or is it already there? Based on the GPT 3.5 history?

I think custom instructions are not dependent on the model you use.

Read 100 paywalled research papers for free every month! You don't even need a university account to do this. Here's how to read paywalled papers on JSTOR for free: 1. Go to jstor(dot)org and click on "Register" in the top-right corner. You can register with your personal Google or Outlook account. Or, you can create a JSTOR account manually. 2. Once you've logged in to your JSTOR account, click on "Workspace" in the menu bar. Then click on "Create folder." Choose a name for your folder and click on "Create."Creating folders in Workspace is a great way to keep your papers organized. 3. Type in the keywords in the search bar to find relevant papers. JSTOR willl give you a list of papers. To read a paper for free, click on "Read online." You will see a preview of the paper. Scroll down a bit and click on "Read Online" again. 4. If you find the paper super-relevant to your project, click on "Save" on the top of the article. Choose the folder you just created in your Workspace and save the paper in it. If you go to your Workspace, the paper will show up in the relevant folder. 5. You can also take notes on papers in your Workspace. To do so, click on the "Add Note" button under a paper and start typing. Click on "Save" to your save your note. 6. If you already have a paper and you want to related to it, you can use Text Analyzer. To do so, click on "Tools" and select "Text Analyzer." Sign in with the attached image flow (sorry for the clunky-ness) Google doesnt make it easy, and this should resolve in a couple days once google approves the app permissions After you approve it, you should be good to go moving forward however. App is very basic, intentionally - Write what you did today - Write what you are proud of on that day - Write what you could improve from that day - Click Submit - Stores it on your google calendar as your daily journal with a check mark, so you can go back and look at any given day, any time from your google account - Receive an email each day at 8pm local time, if you have not completed your daily journal - Calendar view to check in on past entries and add them if you have missed days, i know we are on the 4th of the year, so catch up. Works on desktop + mobile, so you can do this wherever. Enjoy. Will prolly keep messing with this slowly, and just fine tuning stuff.

Holy moly Never seen someone being that bullish for AI developement as Dario Amodei: - There's just an exponential just like we had an exponential with Moore's law - I think the models are just going to get more and more capable at everything - I've had internal people at Anthropic say, "I don't write any code anymore. I don't write I don't open up an editor and write code. I just let Claude code write the first draft and and all I do is edit it. - What what we're going to see in the future is just like we've going to be seen in the past except more so - the models are just going to get more and more intellectually capable and you know the the revenue is going to keep adding zeros. holy moly, Dario!
