Holy moly Never seen someone being that bullish for AI developement as Dario Amodei: - There's just an exponential just like we had an exponential with Moore's law - I think the models are just going to get more and more capable at everything - I've had internal people...

Dario Amodei says AI improving itself is not a moment that is coming, and he put Anthropic's internal number on how fast it is already happening: "I don't think it's a moment in time. I think it's a continuous process. We're already seeing it in some ways, where the AI is able to suggest architectures for the next AI." "I would say a year ago we were seeing 10 to 15% kind of increase in total factor productivity due to AI. Like, that's probably up to 20 or 30% now. It might be doubling. Like, as with all things, we're on the exponential." "There's no moment where AI improves itself or runs out of control or becomes unsafe. What we have is an accelerating exponential. And at each point on the exponential we have to assess, is this a time to slow down? Is this a time to put more controls on this technology? I think more and more of that is going to be required." "But I think the Rosetta Stone to all of this is the smooth exponential." "I think there's an object lesson in the people who were against all AI regulation and then they saw one thing and they wanted to nationalize. I think there's an object lesson in the people who dismissed the power of AI and then said, oh my God, it's improving itself. It's running out of control. We have to shut it all down. Yo-yoing between those extreme reactions is incredibly unhelpful as a response to this technology." "The right response, the wise response, is to say, we're not going to panic. Our countermeasures will smoothly ratchet up with the power of the technology. If you see someone having this kind of crazy yo-yo reaction, that's a sign that they were caught by surprise and that they're not serious." - Dario Amodei (Dario Amodei), CEO of Anthropic, on The Circuit with Emily Chang (Bloomberg Originals).

THIS ANSWER. “saying you won’t be the favorites in vegas. i saw you do this at least another two times: ‘we are not the favorites.’ do you think a change of mindset is needed?” lando: “no, i can say what i want, i can think what i want, i tell you what i always am, i always try and be as honest as i can be. if i don't think we're going to be quick, i don't think we're going to be quick. and i'm not saying i'm going to be 10th, i'm just saying i think it's going to be difficult to win. we were a long way off, just go and look at the data from last year, look at the racetrace, we were miles off. and there's been plenty of races where we've not been quick enough this year, so it's not like we've won every single race and you're expecting me to say those things. i'm just giving my opinion on ‘do i think it's going to be as easy?’ i won last weekend by 30 seconds, very, very easy. i won today by pushing a lot more, only 10 seconds, and max was probably the quickest out on track today. do i think that at a track that we've never been good at, we were very good here two years ago, we almost challenged max for the win, we've never been good in vegas. so why am i going to think, ‘yeah, it's going to be fine, whatever?’ i'm giving my opinion, i'm giving my honest opinion on how i think we're going to be. we've never been good there, so i'm not the most confident about going into this race. maybe i'll win, then we'll see. but i'm not going to lie and say ‘yeah, i'm very confident and i think it's going to be an easy weekend’ because i don't think that's how it's going to be. so no, i mean, you're very right to have your own opinion on what you think i should say and what i should not say and whatever, but i'll do what i like.”

VP VANCE PREDICTED: PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GET ANGRY, AND RIGHTFULLY SO "This stuff we can and we should prosecute, and I'm just telling you, this is going to be a real problem, and the people are going to get really pissed at Senate Republicans if we don't have the U.S. attorneys on the ground to actually achieve justice. People are going to get angry, and rightfully so." If you want justice, you've got to empower the President of the United States to actually appoint the officers of justice all over the country. The Democrats are stalling that, and we're going to wake up in a couple of years, if we don't have more U.S. attorneys approved, if we don't have more judges approved, we're going to wake up in a couple of years and realize that we've done a lot of great work at the Trump administration, but justice is not being meted out as it should be because we don't have the people on the ground. That is a big problem, and I know that's somewhat unrelated to Arctic Frost, but it actually is related to Arctic Frost, because you cannot get the justice for the people who are targeted by the Biden administration unless we've got good people, especially in these U.S. attorneys offices, and that's something we've got to pay attention to over the next year. Spying on President Trump, prosecuting him, investigating senators, congressmen, and congressmen who are just aligned with the President of the United States some of this stuff is going to get covered by statute of limitations, but some of this stuff we can and we should prosecute, and I'm just telling you, this is going to be a real problem, and the people who watch your show are going to get really pissed at Senate Republicans, excuse my language, if we don't have the U.S. attorneys on the ground to actually achieve justice, people are going to get angry, and rightfully so.
