You become injured. ⠀ ⠀ You’re placed in a cast, or sling. ⠀ ⠀ You are told to not train upper body, and just build the lower half, or vice versa. ⠀ ⠀ You don’t even bother training your non-injured, non-dominant (in most baseball, upper extremity related cases) side, because why would you need to? ⠀ ⠀ Here’s why you should absolutely train your non-injured side, even if your injured side is immobilized. ⠀ ⠀ Cross education (CE) occurs after unilateral training where performance of the untrained, contralateral (in this case injured) limb is enhanced.⠀ ⠀ Increased neural drive originating from the “untrained” motor cortex contributes to the cross education effect.⠀ ⠀ A few studies have shown that CE can preserve or spare strength and decrease atrophy on the untrained, injured limb. ⠀ ⠀ In most baseball related cases, injuries of the upper extremity most often tend to be on the dominant side. Chances are there is already some sort of imbalance in strength and or hypertrophy between sides. It is also likely that when rehabbing from that injury, we tend to attend less and be less detailed with the non-injured, non-dominant side. So the chances of there being an imbalance post-injury are likely. It’s the reason why players get hurt, rehab, come back, and in some cases end up injuring the contralateral side shortly thereafter. (Of course we see that more with lower extremity injuries.) ⠀ ⠀ In a study conducted by Justin W. Andrushko and co. They took 16 participants who were immobilized with a cast, and assigned them to a 4-week resistance training forearm program on the non-injured limb. Here’s what they found ⬇️ “The nondominant forearm of 16 participants was immobilized with a cast, and participants were randomly assigned to a resistance training (eccentric wrist flexion, 3 times/week) or control group for 4 weeks. Pre- and post testing involved wrist flexors and extensors eccentric, concentric and isometric maximal voluntary contractions (via dynamometer), muscle thickness (via ultrasound), and forearm muscle cross-sectional area (MCSA; via peripheral quantitative computed tomography). Only the training group showed strength preservation across all contractions in the wrist flexors of the immobilized limb (training: −2.4% vs. control: −21.6%; P = 0.04), and increased wrist flexors strength of the nonimmobilized limb (training: 30.8% vs. control: −7.4%; P = 0.04). Immobilized arm MCSA was preserved for the training group only (training: 1.3% vs. control: −2.3%; P = 0.01). Muscle thickness differed between groups for the immobilized (training: 2.8% vs. control: −3.2%; P = 0.01) and nonimmobilized wrist flexors (training: 7.1% vs. control: −3.7%; P = 0.02). Strength preservation was nonspecific to contraction type (P = 0.69, η2p = 0.03) yet specific to the trained flexors muscle. These findings suggest that eccentric training of the nonimmobilized limb can preserve size of the immobilized contralateral homologous muscle and strength across multiple contraction types.”

In this riveting six part documentary series that contains nothing but rare historical, original news footage, it reveals that the most seminal events in recent American history have been deeply and purposefully misrepresented to the public. The most fascinating aspect about it is that there is no commentary or narration, only historical footage set to an ethereal soundtrack. Much of the footage has never been seen by the public and paints a much richer picture of history than the watered down tripe taught in schools. It weaves a tapestry that taken as whole makes it one of the best contemporary American History documentaries ever made in my opinion. You are not going to find this on Netflix Let me know what you think, each part is 1 1/2 Hours long so it’s a beast to get through but nonetheless absolutely fascinating if you are obsessed with history like me. Part one takes us to the day JFK was assassinated, an event that still echoes loudly in the present and from my point of view should be viewed as the day that we not only lost a president but the day we lost the country.

The Cowboys NOT trading draft capital before the deadline doesn’t make sense to me for three reasons. 1. You give up on the leagues best offense 2. You give up on 2026 & beyond 3. You arrogantly assume you’re a much better “draft & develop” team than ANY franchise truly is. Rookies take time in most cases and they’re never a guarantee. The narrative is “1 player won’t save this defense” when in reality that thought process was disproven by Micah in his tenure with the Cowboys. Cowboys defense w/ Micah: #1 EPA per play Cowboys defense w/out Micah: #32 in EPA per play If one GUARANTEED veteran can’t help me… then two rookies in 2026 won’t either. Take the guaranteed asset if you can get him & push the chips towards the middle of the table. That #1 offense ain’t going anywhere.

I was very happy to see how enthusiastic people were about the first hand review, so here's another one. I'm using some screenshots from vision to show where I made the right play or made a mistake. This isn't a 1 to 1 solution to this exact spot, because vision has a limited number of positions so the results a merely indicative not final. A like on this post is much appreciated. We wake up with KK84ds in the big blind vs a button open. We push quite a bit of equity here vs his opening range so we elect a 3-bet. The flop comes K42r and here we have our first serious decision. Our entire 3-bet range does okay on this board, so we want to both bet our strong hands and add in quite a few bluffs. For that reason KKxx should bet here at a healthy frequency, but also blocking the 4 makes this one of the few candidates that we want to consider playing slow (screenshot 1). We check and our opponent bets, we want him to continue bluffing with air and protect our calling range, so most of the time we are calling here (screenshot 2). The turn brings a queen with our flush draw and we check, which is our first mistake. The queen is benefitial for our range (we 3-bet a lot of high cards) and the air portion of my range is gone, while he still has some air in his stabbing range. Since we have a sizeable equity advantage now, we should start betting with a lot of value and start adding in some bluffs (screenshot 3). After checking our opponent bets 50% pot and here we have yet another interesting spot. In a vacuum betting here makes a lot of money, but we want to consider all the hands that we are playing in this spot. This hand is so strong that it doesn't need that much protection and we still want our opponent to keep his air in the hand. We also want to protect our calling range here (screenshot 4). The river brings in the flush and yet another tough decision for us. We block a decent part of the board, so I still give my opponent credit for not having anything. Most if the flushes that will call my bet here, will also bet themselves when checked to. That's why I decided to check here. I was very happy with how I played this hand, but still made a crucial mistake on the turn. Even at higher stakes, people are constantly screwing up if you compare their strategy to a solver output. Knowing what the solver would do in every spot is impossible. What is possible though, is understanding the broader concepts. Understanding why the solver bets here on the turn is information that you can extrapolate in any situation that is somewhat similar. That's why is it so valuable. Yeah, maybe the format was a set back in the past, but at the same time there’s a lot of positives to it as well. And one of the things that a lot of players kept mentioning is you don’t have a wave weather difference, where you can simply get unlucky and you’re out of contention for that tournament. It’s part of the game, I get it, but it’s something you don’t have to deal with anymore. So that part is a very nice aspect. The team is what really made it for me. Being able to be part of a team, represent a team, play for my teammates, with my teammates and against my teammates, is something that to me that has always been very, very special. When you get a victory to share, it’s always better to have a team to share it with. So it’s what was the most attractive part and when we started discussions it gets to a point where even though I’m ambitious, I’m not greedy. So there’s a give and take and the format is something that I can easily overlook, and I’m pretty sure I can learn to enjoy it, I’ll just have to get used to it, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn to enjoy it. To be honest, the more I started thinking about it, the more I started thinking about my college days that were 3 day tournaments, 54 holes, and everybody warmed up together for the most part. David Cronenberg on why "The Brood" (1979) was his version of "Kramer vs. Kramer" (1979): "Samantha Eggar really understood 'The Brood' (1979); she said that it reminded her of her own childhood. To me that meant she was seeing past the horror fantasy elements to the psychological elements, which were really the basic underpinning of the movie. I’ve said this ad nauseam, but 'The Brood' was my version of 'Kramer Vs Kramer' (1979). I was really trying to get to the reality, with a capital R, which is why I have disdain for Kramer. I think it’s false, fake, candy. There are unbelievable, ridiculous moments in it that to me are emotionally completely false, if you’ve ever gone through anything like that. 'The Brood' got to the real nightmare, horrific, unbelievable inner life of that situation. I’m not being facetious when I say I think it’s more realistic, even more naturalistic, than Kramer. I felt that bad. It was that horrible, that damaging. That’s why it had to be made then; it wanted to be made full blast. Getting philosophical and mellow, you make another movie. The reality needed to be expressed in what, if you’re a critic, are symbolic terms. I can’t remember if I tried a more obviously naturalistic version of it, but that wouldn’t have satisfied me. It wouldn’t have been cathartic enough. 'Kramer Vs Kramer' also had a kind of happy ending. Not my version of that situation." (Cronenberg on Cronenberg', 1992) "'The Brood' was ‘my version of Kramer vs. Kramer’, which was a movie about a divorce with a child involved, a Hollywood version of that situation with Meryl Streep and Dustin Hoffman, that was very popular then. I thought 'Kramer vs Kramer' was the most false, sentimental, bullsh!t movie ever — and people were loving it, you know. That also made me realise, in a very forceful way, that you could make a movie that had people weeping and crying and very emotional but which was a complete lie — and that it would sell, and I didn’t ever want to do that." I believe Cronenberg might be confusing reading the 'Kramer vs. Kramer' novel with watching the movie before making 'The Brood'. The quote doesn't make sense in some parts. On this day, 47 years ago, "The Brood" (1979) premiered in Chicago, Illinois.

David Cronenberg on why "The Brood" (1979) was his version of "Kramer vs. Kramer" (1979): "Samantha Eggar really understood 'The Brood' (1979); she said that it reminded her of her own childhood. To me that meant she was seeing past the horror fantasy elements to the psychological elements, which were really the basic underpinning of the movie. I’ve said this ad nauseam, but 'The Brood' was my version of 'Kramer Vs Kramer' (1979). I was really trying to get to the reality, with a capital R, which is why I have disdain for Kramer. I think it’s false, fake, candy. There are unbelievable, ridiculous moments in it that to me are emotionally completely false, if you’ve ever gone through anything like that. 'The Brood' got to the real nightmare, horrific, unbelievable inner life of that situation. I’m not being facetious when I say I think it’s more realistic, even more naturalistic, than Kramer. I felt that bad. It was that horrible, that damaging. That’s why it had to be made then; it wanted to be made full blast. Getting philosophical and mellow, you make another movie. The reality needed to be expressed in what, if you’re a critic, are symbolic terms. I can’t remember if I tried a more obviously naturalistic version of it, but that wouldn’t have satisfied me. It wouldn’t have been cathartic enough. 'Kramer Vs Kramer' also had a kind of happy ending. Not my version of that situation." That also made me realise, in a very forceful way, that you could make a movie that had people weeping and crying and very emotional but which was a complete lie — and that it would sell, and I didn’t ever want to do that." Pay attention to Saudi . They’re hosting the World Cup in 2034 and they have serious plans to do well at that World Cup. First thing for them is to invest in their league. These Saudi players in this Uruguay game, you could see their quality. They’re being coached by elite managers, they play with or against Ronaldo, Benzema, Kante, Mahrez, Mane, etc. these are players that have won everything. Exposure to such training programmes, world class coaches and team mates, facilities, it’s just madness. Most of the players in their squad are from the 4 government-owned teams like Hilal, Nassr, Ahli, some from Al Qadsia too which is also a good side. These top teams are exposed to world class structures (you can’t say same for the others, but that’s why the squad is made up of most players from the top teams). One of their players, Saud, was even bold enough to leave the league and he’s just done amazingly well at RC Lens this season,after he joined on loan from Roma. This is good for them too. Steven Gerrard shared a bit about the Saudi plan on “Stick to Football” recently. He said one of the things they told him was that they wanted to develop their academies especially and they wanted him to be part of it. I’ve attached the video. There’s an u21 league that is serious now in Saudi. You can also go pro at 16 years of age in Saudi now. It was 18 before. The youngsters are also exposed to these facilities which will aid their development, because some of them are expected to make that squad in 2034. Let me end this tweet with the shortfall of this project. Due to the influx of top players, many of these young players are not getting so much playing time, and they need to. They have a decent national team now but most of them won’t be present in 2034 when they host the World Cup at home. You can understand why these top teams don’t give so much youngsters opportunities even in Europe, this is because they’re chasing the league and they have no time for trials with the kids, this has to change. I always support the youth. I think teams are entitled to 8 foreign players, the league organisers should also put something in place to ensure teams play u21 players and the likes. I'm fundamentally a menswear nerd, so if I were put in charge of Brooks Brothers, I would loathe to make the stack of infinite color polos, non-iron shirts, and stretch cotton slim-fit chinos that most of their customers buy. From a business perspective, I totally understand why some people — including people who are passionate about menswear — do these kinds of things. They have to pay bills and lots of people depend on these companies for jobs. But I will say that I've been happily surprised to see Buck Mason mostly sell basic goods, such as the jeans, t-shirts, and flannels that keep most large companies alive. But they also do much more interesting projects. For instance, collaborations with very niche, in-the-know brands, such as Anatomica and Bryceland's. They even opened a US factory to produce clothes in the United States. When I chatted with one of their founders, Erik Ford, I didn't get the impression that this was some phony marketing strategy. He genuinely gets excited about telling people the story of Big Yank, one of the great American workwear brands. It was very refreshing. Buck Mason is nowhere near the size of Brooks Brothers, but I think they show how you can do genuinely cool, interesting projects while stilling running a sizable company.

I owe no one an explanation but I'm going to do it. I'm doing it not because of the insult I am receiving, that I am greedy or I don't know what I'm doing for leaving a 14 million naira cash out, but because of only one thing in particular, and that is because of the few comments I have read. I noticed some people are actually saying it is an edit which makes it a fake post to get engagement or the particular game belongs to another punter. Few of my followers who know me very well and can testify that my games are real because most times I do giveaway, not big money though, but something for breakfast and almost every week they get a token from my winnings. And they know I like playing less than 3 odds. I only play a running ticket once in a blue moon. A particular Guy after seeing my games called me a sporty agent, after getting 3K giveaway from me back to back during the weekends he never called me that name again. I will make a video of this particular game and allow everybody to see that I did not cash out either partially or fully. A real gamer that sees this game and checks each option very well will be certain that the last game will come. I mean, it's BARCELONA, just 1-UP, against club brugge, JESUS CHRIST 🤦 🤦🤦, I still can't believe this. More difficult games we are on that ticket but they scale through, one of the easiest and the last match was now the main issue. I am not trying to boast, if you are not a good punter, all you have money issues then you will see this particular game and cash out. But a real punter who studies games and teams for days before playing will never believe Barca we will not play 1-UP in this match with their present form and also try to go higher at the champions League table. Many of us saw the writing on the wall and as all of this has been coming out… And This is EXACTLY why many of us are so loud about it now and trying to figure this out… But, with everything that’s happened, it made me go back and watch the live stream I did covering the debate that Charlie hosted at TPUSA with Dave Smith & Josh Hammer…. This is what I said in the first 5 mins of the stream. The rest is available and you can watch it as it is VERY interesting given everything that has happened. Pay close attention to demeanor, mannerisms of a certain individual, the “curiosity” that was so present and the overall message that was put on the main stage at that event… What was said on that stage was VERY dangerous. When you study and understand the past, it gives you the ability to understand the present much better than most and sometimes… it also gives you the ability to predict the future. But the truth is no one really knows what happened and at the end of the day… I’m just a conspiracy theorist.

Games where SI sat 94+ mph 📈 • w/ PIT: 2 (of 23) • w/ BOS: 5 (of 10) He’s comfortably hit 96 and topped 97 mph for Worcester (seen in video attached), and has been grinding on a velo program this winter as well. Studying Marx made me a much better entrepreneur. The most vocal critics of a system (Nietzsche to Christianity, Schmitt to Liberalism) are often the best guides. Marx is no different. If you want to master the game of capital, you need to understand his penetrating insights on alienation, primitive accumulation, and fetishization. My guest Marcus Ryu is one such master. He built a $16 billion startup, Guidewire, in response to Marx’s idea of alienation. The way to have motivated, effective employees is to address the problem of “estranged labor” within capitalism itself. This response represents both a deep agreement and rejection of Marx’s ideas. Marx was, of course, not his only philosophical guide in his entrepreneurial journey. For the first 25 years of his life, Marcus seemed destined to be a philosophy professor: top of his class at Princeton and Oxford, nerdy, with no interest outside the most theoretical of questions. And yet, after an existential crisis towards the end of his PhD on Wittgenstein Marcus found himself in Silicon Valley. This interview catalogs the story of that radical transformation and how Nietzsche, Marx, Hegel, and Wittgenstein shaped his approach to building startups. Here is my GOALS review: GOALS (baring in mind the game released 3 days ago and they have ALREADY implemented positive changes) ✅Fast paced - responsive - FUN ✅Skill gap is CLEAR - especially in defending ✅Rewarding - nice passing sequence / dribble can lead to a goal and feels GOOD to score ✅L1/R1 dribble is super clean and nice for a good level of control ✅Multiple ways to score and break down an opponent ✅Progression system of players is good - loads of ways to earn packs/in game currency ✅Lots of objectives to grind ✅Ultimately - I want to keep playing matches. More matches. Ranked - Tournaments, I just want to keep playing. What I would like to see improved/implemented 🙏A way to balance your team rating vs opponents - match players based on skill AND team rating - it isn't fun matching someone with a MUCH better team than yours in ranked. 🙏Finesse is by far the best way to shoot, didn't personally find low driven shots effective at all - but that might just be me. As you can see, what I want improved is nit picking. Fair play to the developers and producers at GOALS - they set out with a clear agenda and their product has matched that👏 In my opinion this is not meant to be a FC rival - it isn't meant to be a football sim, ultra realistic graphics, lots of menu content...it is an arcade football game, built for competitive gameplay, built for playing FOOTBALL MATCHES not menu grinding...and most importantly, it is meant to be enjoyed when playing - which I am certainly doing right now. Verdict? Get me back in the game and let me play some more GOALS - I have a tournament to win 🏆
