Why don’t you use the new HEVC encoder with twitch enhanced broadcast and stream at 1440p / 9,500kbps?? That codec is more efficient and looks better

It’s not compatible on mainly devices at the moment and region restricted so If you’re unable to watch at 2K you get downgraded to 1080P with worse bitrate allocation due to EB. I was talking with a staffer last week and there are some changes coming to help soon.

Ah ya I forget that it’s region locked. Hopefully they make it more accessible soon. It’s honestly such a massive difference in quality. What bitrate does it default to when it gets downgraded? I figured it would be 7,500 bc that’s what it shows when I select 1080p on my channel

Still crazy on how Twitch is stuck in 2010. It still does not support AV1 ingress and only ancient H264. It still has an 8Mbit/s Bitrate limit. And just for comparison, YouTube allows 51Mbit/s Ingress with AV1 and HDR and 4k60 support.

These weird resolutions on Twitch have always been a gimmick.

Isn't this only saving ~10% of the pixels? Do you think dropping the pixels by 10% is changing much? ON the other hand....it's not making it noticeably worse either.

hoping this works, been struggling stream games like tarkov or stalker due to bit-rate issues or pixelation, issue modern gaming is, they love horrid little plants, grass... set up my visuals to 1792x1008! gonna be testing it soon.

Try 936p too if it’s still too blurry.
