We have shared the struggles of Ibrahim who is living with pemphigus vulgaris, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes painful blisters and open sores across his skin. Every movement is a battle with pain. In Gaza, the treatment he needs is extremely limited. If Ibrahim is not hospitalized, he cannot receive the medication that keeps his condition from flaring up out of control. He wants to be in his tent, with his children, receiving care from his family. And what he really wants and what he really needs urgently is treatment abroad. Until that becomes possible, The Sameer Project will support him with medication to aid him with his daily battle. On March 4 we provided Ibrahim with a week’s worth of medication and ointments and a hygiene kit for a total of $182 after commission. This is one of the most expensive medical cases we have taken on since he will need the treatment weekly, and we cannot do it alone. Please help us stand with Ibrahim and other patients that need additional support by donating to our Medical Campaign. The Sameer Project Bakery has officially opened in North Gaza, providing fresh bread daily to families in need amidst extremely difficult conditions - hunger, malnutrition, starvation. Support: Each day, the bakery produces around 3,000 loaves of bread, forming approximately 300 bundles for distribution, reaching households who rely on this essential staple for survival. The overall daily cost averaging approximately $750. Behind each bundle is a carefully managed production process that allows us to keep bread accessible and consistent for displaced families. Daily production requires 9 bags of flour (25 kg each), along with 40 liters of sunflower oil, yeast, sugar, salt, and packaging materials. Operational costs also include rent, worker wages, and electricity. Little Abdullah is in Nasser Hospital receiving treatment for a disorder that also took the life of his younger brother. Abdullah suffers from rickets and an enlarged liver, and his younger brother died from complications exacerbated by malnutrition and the family’s inability to purchase formula. The Sameer Project medical team visited Abdullah in the hospital, bringing him the medication he needs as well as boxes of nutritional formula to help him gain strength. The boxes of nutritional supplements were $5.15 each, part of a larger purchase, and the medication was already in stock at our medical point. Abdullah’s referral report for travel abroad has been collected and he has been submitted for security clearance. And based on everyone’s smiles while visiting him, our nurses would love to check on him again soon! Support our South campaign so we can assist more patients in need. Sick and injured patients in the hospitals are also starving. After being hit by shrapnel, or undergoing surgery, or suffering from illnesses, these cases have no nutritional support and no strength for their bodies to heal. As they are fighting hard to survive, their bodies are fending off hunger and trying to recover. Even those who care for patients, the dedicated nurses and doctors, who show up for work every day to see and deal with the unimaginable, to continue to try to save lives, are fainting from their hunger pains. The Sameer Project recently visited the Surgical Department of Al Shifa Hospital where we distributed 100 bulgur meals to the entire ward, as well as the nurses in the department. Each meal cost 25 shekels and weighed 500 grams. The head of the nursing department gave us special permission to access these patients and staff to assist. The initiative cost a total of approximately $825 after 10% transfer commission. We try to provide for those in the most dire need, and unfortunately if you are in the surgical department of Al Shifa, this is the case. His son’s anxiety and disabilities leave him trapped within his own mind - how do you begin to explain the suffering in a way that is comprehensible. After the occupation destroyed Gaza's specialized services, therapy programs, schools, and support systems, this family has been left to face every challenge alone. This young man is bound not only by his disability, but by the complete absence of the care he deserves. And his father is trapped by the constant worry of wondering how he will keep going. People often ask, “Why aren’t large relief organizations present in Gaza?” Good question. The occupation has systematically stripped the largest humanitarian presence in Gaza, UNRWA, of most of their abilities. Groups like the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and others, have also been stifled, but with little pushback from these UN organizations we are supposed to count on. NGO’s are largely inactive since the blockage, unable to bring in trucks of goods. Medical delegations have had their missions canceled last minute by the IDF. This leaves a heavy burden on mutual aid groups to assist. But at the same time, an opportunity for the individual - LIKE YOU - to know that you can directly have an impact on the ground with your contributions. Like this child says, if we don’t show up, no one will. And thanks to you we continue to show up daily with fresh drinking water, for survival. THIS IS ETHNIC CLEANSING. It’s not a concept learned just in history books, it is now, it is live on your screens. No one can say they didn’t know. How can the world let this happen? The Sameer Project has been providing food and water in the North, donate: we will continue to operate in the North as long as we can. We listened to the people - they asked us for help to remain steadfast, to stay on their land. But now they are asking us for a different kind of help - for a chance at survival. Messages and pleas are pouring in. People need help with transportation South, with shelter, with basic necessities. Patients in hospitals are being prematurely discharged because of capacity, amputees with no wheelchairs out on the streets. Families are walking barefoot more than 13 miles / 21 kilometers with no belongings just to escape the bombs. How will they all leave? Who will take them South? Where will they all go? There is no land and no shelter. For the past month we have been preparing for this moment, at the same time hoping it never would come. The Sameer Project secured 4 more parcels of land, more tents for the land, and are working on making them suitable to move to with bathrooms, fencing, and electricity. But of course we cannot help everyone. With over 1 million people in the North we have to triage the most severe medical cases and vulnerable families. We are opening up a new fundraising link to assist. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Because of the scarcity of available resources everything is incredibly expensive: fuel for vehicles, renting trucks, tents, the land itself, food and water for the displaced. The essential needs are endless. We estimate that we will need $750,000 to open the additional camps and to aid in the response to the displacement. This includes rent of the land, land prep (ie, leveling soil), tents for families, fencing, bathrooms, water infrastructure, expansion of the medical point, expansion of the educational tent, transportation fees, and more. We need to provide water and food, medical services, mattresses and essentials, the list goes on. This is the biggest undertaking of The Sameer Project yet, but with your support we can have an immediate impact by providing a safe landing spot for hospital overflow patients, families with disabilities, orphans, the Civil Defense workers and ambulance drivers, mutual aid team members that serve their community - those who are vulnerable and those who will also be able to support others during this horrific time. But the Harbor was ready. Fans were ready. “BIGAY-SAYA, BIGAY-BIYAYA: HANDOG NG TEAM KIRA SA KABATAAN” Guess what? After weeks of planning, excitement, and a whole lot of love, our second fan project is finally a reality — and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Team Kira is back at it again, this time with a heartwarming mission: to bring joy and school supplies to children who need them most. 🎒✨ Why school supplies? Well, we were inspired by Kira’s touching story. During her PBB journey, she shared how she was bullied in school and eventually found her confidence and voice through showbiz. Her journey reminds us just how important education and kindness are — and we want every child to know that they matter, they belong, and that learning is a powerful gift. Through this project, we hope they feel encouraged and supported, while also learning how important values are like respect, understanding and pakikipagkapwa-tao. We have already distributed school supplies to three schools: Dinet Elementary School and Calampisao Elementary School, both with 150 students, and Debangan Elementary School with 148 students. But wait — we’re not done yet! We also have another school on our list: Maytegued Elementary School, with 150 students. A total of 448 students, and all of these schools are located in Palawan. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this incredible project possible — to our fellow KiraBelles for your love, support, and donations. And most especially, to Ms. Giah KB💛🌻 for leading and organizing this meaningful initiative. Thank you for being part of this journey to bring smiles and hope to the youth!
