€1.7billion will be spent on IPAS accommodation next year by the FF/FG and Independents government. One IPAS owner has been paid €231m so far. This is obscene money and shows how broken the system is.

The Governments pitiful excuse for not abolishing the carbon tax is that the state cannot afford to do so. That's despite the fact that the state has spent away its €1.1 billion year carbon tax take on €1.2 billion for IPAS and €800 million on foreign aid. The maths is simple: abolish carbon tax + cut IPAS and foreign aid = save Irish taxpayers.

So it is official, the Green Isle hotel ☘️has been sold. I have been assured when communicating with both the hotel and the Dept of Justice CET in the past year that it will NOT be used as an IPAS centre when the sale goes through. However, I don't put much trust in anything the government says and if the new owner called up Jim and said, "lets help me make millions off my new pad" what will the Minister do? Locals are rightly very concerned, the last thing Clondalkin needs is another IPAS centre! PS, it would be nice if I didn't have to spend so much time dealing with IPAS centres 🙈, but until we get rid of this government and elect people who will prioritise Irish people in their homeland this is going to be a consistent issue. Independent Ireland

The Taoiseach and Tánaiste need to take responsibility for the chaos in the international protection system that is happening on their watch - a broken system, long delays, failure to enforce deportations, and massive profiteering in the provision of IPAS accommodation. Fronta Poblachtach activists today hung a banner exposing the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) scam from a building at the foot of Talbot Memorial Bridge in Dublin 2. IPAS benefits large gombeen businesses- with millions being paid to accommodation-owners and other resource-suppliers by their friends in the Leinster House government. Individuals and companies such as those pictured on our banner make millions from this scam. IPAS, like mass immigration generally, has a bigger purpose: it is designed to bring mass numbers of migrants into Ireland who are to be exploited by unscrupulous bosses, paying them a pittance and undermining the Irish worker. Similarly landlords have increased prey, with more numbers and reduced housing-supply driving up rent and house prices. This is also a means to drive gentrification and cosmopolitanism: undermining the unity and solidarity within working-class communities, and eroding the traditions and cultures which bind us, making cogent resistance to international finance cartels and their Irish puppets more unlikely.
