Every gifted one who has ever held on to ancient values of truth has either been demonized or vilified. By exactly those who CLAIM to know the truth and be the only truth. Some are drowned in the crowd. Some flee from the crowd. Some distance themselves completely from the crowd. Depending on how they are able to hold on to what they have found... Look around. Reflect deep. With your own soul. Not vomiting what you ate from the leftovers of anyone you "submit under" or "look up to". Think. Look around. And you're now complaining? Is it not the children of yesterday when all this bashing began that are now the adults and pillars of today? You have no right to complain. This is the result of your deeds of yesteryears. So often we say things like "my life," "my plans," "my career," "my future." We talk as though we are the owners of everything we have. But here's the truth: you don't own any of it. This is the most challenging speech I’ve ever delivered, but it’s time the world wakes up to what the Jewish community has been saying all along. What we experienced on and since October 7 was sadly, predictable. We’ve warned of the danger of radical Islam or, more accurately, the radical Islamic Nazism that is constantly lurking at Israel’s borders. And we’ve warned of the ongoing grooming of Western civilization – through universities, the media, and social media. We warned what the phrase “from the river to the sea Palestine will be free” really looks like. It means “itbach al Yahud” – “slaughter the Jews.” This demonization of Israel is not “progressive”, it’s not peaceful and it absolutely won’t Free Palestine. It is a modern-day blood libel calculated to incite, pave the way for, and then justify - a genocide. We’ve seen it for over three and a half thousand years of Jewish “lived experience”. It’s the generational trauma that is in our bones. We understand it. That, is our “Jewish privilege.” We knew where it would lead, and we are devastated to be proven right. Israel is one of the greatest stories ever told and its vilification is one of the greatest smear campaigns in the history of the world. But we have news for you: when we say Never Again, we mean it. My heart has been in a state of perpetual heartbreak and music as always is the only thing that makes it make sense. Even still in the midst of this chaos I feel a hope in us finding each other and remembering what we truly are. I hope this song finds you if you need it. Day 4 of Unfiltered. Most people know that women, on average, live about five years longer than men. What’s less known is that this advantage disappears if you are a physician. A large study published this year showed that female physicians lose that mortality benefit, even compared with other high stress professions. There are many possible reasons. Psychological stress. The second shift at home. Bias in the workplace. Burnout. What matters is that people are finally studying it, because we cannot fix what we refuse to see. I wanted to share this for another reason. Over the last few decades, American healthcare has become harder and harder to survive in, and at the same time, more women are entering medicine. We are also seeing evidence that women physicians often achieve better patient outcomes in certain settings. That tells a powerful story about what women are giving to this profession. As a female physician who cares for women facing the hardest moments of their lives, I have never seen a force stronger than a woman protecting her people. I believe women in medicine will be a huge part of what ultimately helps fix healthcare. Losing a mortality advantage is not a story of weakness. It is a story of how deeply women are pouring themselves into this work because it matters. And still, we have to find another gear. We cannot destroy ourselves in the process of caring for others. If you know a female physician, encourage her. If you are in a position to support women in medicine, please do. We are at a real crisis point in healthcare, and this moment calls for both honesty and care. I see you. I am proud of you. And I am proud to stand among you.
