Was part of these. Got beaten by police, almost lost one semester and campus recruitment season got delayed effecting number of jobs. At the end, political parties had their way. Not even one political party supported us. We are not a vote bank

I was a kid in Allahabad, which was one of the hubs of the protests. I saw with my eyes how the police were chasing and brutally hitting the unarmed students in the narrow lane in front of my bua's house. It was horrible.

They didn't try to burn down India. Lanka mein raavan raja tha, hai, aur rahega. Jab tak Hanuman lanka nahi jalata.

Threshold for death & destruction was much higher in 90's. News reached even Tier 2&3 cities/towns after few days amongst educated class. Today, especially the well off class doesn't have the stomach for fight. Narrative setters in our media & society were always against GC's.

VP Singh didn't utter a word, nor spoke to protesters, allowed kids to die. That was murder, one or two deaths, you may forgive but not 66+ in a democracy. These kids loved this nation more than any politician ever could, they saw where nation is heading & they were correct.

GC's accepted defeat and they accept defeat in each and every exam where someone next to him gets a seat, job or qualifies at a lower percentage, even if it is for 1% but that's a failed win and the reservation category are enjoying it for more than more than 3 and half decades.

चार प्रमुख मांगे होनी चाहिए : 1.Reservation सिर्फ आर्थिक आधार पर मिले..जिस परिवार की सालाना आमदनी 4 लाख ₹ से कम..उसी को आरक्षण 2.कोई जाति और धर्म का भेदभाव नहीं 3.आरक्षण 50% से ज्यादा ना हो 4.इनकम का प्रमाण सिर्फ ITR होना चाहिए..इससे ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोग इनकम रिपोर्ट करेंगे
