I watched my son Evan Lewis walk to the top of a D1 pitching mound for the first time. It took him 4 years to throw his first D1 pitch, and he earned 2-D1 scholarships. Why so long? 3 surgeries (UCL brace, olecranon break (elbow), and a bone spur. He went to Louisana Tech after leaving HS. He pitched in the D1 Junior College World Series for Gaston College Baseball & committed to Delaware Baseball. 2 weeks at DE, he broke his elbow.
