Access to water remains limited, most needing to travel far distances and battle the crowds just to get some for the day, donate: And it’s never enough, families go days without a fresh supply, resorting to salt water or dirty contaminated water that makes them sick. The joy over water. Because water is a chance at survival. According to relief organizations, the bare minimum amount of water needed for survival is 3 liters per person per day. Imagine a family of 5-6 trying to fetch enough water to live from a normal size 5,000 truck. There is not enough, not everyone will get their share, and families go home disappointed and distraught. WE MUST PROVIDE MORE WATER. The situation in the North is horrific with a massive bombing in one of the most the crowded camps in Shati. “The ground shook so hard, it felt like a nuclear bomb,” told us our team on the ground. Your support is needed: We are witnessing a displacement of over one million people with high costs for transportation and no tents, and most importantly nowhere to stay. Breakdown of Dangote Refinery fuel supply since they started on September 1, 2024: September 2024 - 102 million Liters. October 2024 - 298 million liters. November 2024 - 580 million liters. December 2024 - 398 million liters. January 2025 - 692 million liters. February 2025 - 625 million liters. Match 2025 - 638 million liters. April 2025 to date - 238 million liters. According to Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), based on Nigeria's fuel demands, the Dangote refinery increase its supply from 6 million liters per day in September 2024 to 22 million liters per day by January 2025. Currently, the refinery contributes 18 million liters daily. Given this, out of a total need of 50 million liters, Nigeria must find a way to source the remaining shortfall.

Imagine being blind and needing to fetch the water you need daily by walking miles in any directions to find it. The man in the video is guided by a little child as he carries jerrycans of water home. Everyone in Gaza is struggling to get enough water, but we have to remember those than are up against extraordinary hardships, this is why it’s so important to provide as much fresh clean water as possible. Scarcity of water in Northern Gaza is making the already unimaginable situation of displacements and attacks even worse. The only suitable water is brought to neighborhoods in trucks, otherwise only contaminated water that will make someone sick exists. Even salt water used for cleaning and bathing is not available. Lines form in every area we visit because families know it might be their only opportunity for days to fetch water.
