2) Maps -- Immersive view for routes Sometimes the directions aren't as straightforward as they need to be for us to get from point A to B. Now, Google maps will help us: • Find the least boring route • Use landmarks for navigation • Integrate weather into our travel

AI is about to get even crazier... Google has 15 products that serve >500,000 people and businesses. Today, they revealed their plans to bring the newest breakthroughs in AI to the world. Here's the 6 revolutionary innovations they discussed for their + the impacts it has:

1) Gmail -- Help me write this Email has been changed... You no longer need to search through long email chains or have a back and forth with customer support. Now, Gmail's can easily generate emails that pull context from other conversations you've had with email address.

3) Google photos -- Magic editor Generative AI is not just for stock photos now. You can use it to enhance your own photos through Google. No need to worry about getting the perfect shot, you can just go back and create it.

4) PaLM 2 Google has built different sized models named: • Gecko • Otto • Bison • Unicorn These modes were designed to serve different use cases. One issue with ChatGPT is developers pay the same price (regardless of the power they need). Gecko can even be ran on a phone.

4a) The impact of this? More mobile apps will be build using LLMs. More use cases are opened up to be solved. My guess is the cost to consumers for AI powered application will start to go down as developers have the option to specify their needs better. It will be crazy 🤯

4b) PaLM 2 Fine-Tuning It hasn't really been designed to be generalized like ChatGPT was. PaLM2 thrives on highly specific knowledge. For example they on it to: • Cybersecurity • Medical knowledge These models can take in different types of data. Performing better in tasks.

5) Bard Rumors have been spiraling around what Bard is capable of. The waitlist has been removed and you can use it today! So let's get into how it's changing the space:

5a) Coding Google just democratized coding -- anyone can code now. Without being a software engineer you can now: • Code generation • Code debugging • Explaining code snippets The code is cited directly from repositories. But that's not even the best part...

5b) Exporting You can export and run your code directly from the model to: • Colab • Replit When it comes to your text based responses, you can export those too. They can be sent directly to: • Docs • Gmail This cuts down on unnecessary clicks and streamlines work.

5c) Bard + Tools You can now tap into other services from Google and extensions from other third parties. Developers will start building new types of extensions for the Google store that allow you to do things that weren't possible before. Here's an example of an application:

5d) Lens + Bard Bard will able to understand visuals. Your camera will be an additional way for you to interact with the LLM. Pulling the camera into the user experience is game changing. Bard now has a sense of sight that ChatGPT didn't have before 🤯

5e) Searching with Bard ChatGPT can be used for so many different things: • Recipes • Travel itineraries • Product comparisons Now, it can search the web based on the prompts you give it. Here's a demo: (Remember the immersive map and exporting feature 👀)

6) Gemini Bard will eventually be moved to Gemini. It's being designed to improve upon memory (a major limiting factor) and planning. Their optimizing it for API integrations which will power a whole ecosystem of products on top of it.

I'll be following this up with a deconstruction of their Duet AI + Workspace, Sidekick, and Search. If you enjoyed this thread: 1. Follow me @noahzender to stay up to date. 2. RT the first tweet to share it with others.
