20 years ago today… Lupe Fiasco released “Kick, Push” 🛹 🏆

Lupe’s first 2 albums out the gate certified classics

@PsoKwama hey, so good time to remind @nikesb to call @LupeFiasco for the 20th anniversary of “food and liquor”

I remember when MTV first premiered it & it was stuck in my head all day that day. One of the greatest rap debut singles of all time.

I spent that year going through the Lupe rabbit hole that was available. Dude is honestly a slept on giant in the same league as Andre 3k in my opinion 🤷🏾‍♂️🦾🫡

I was CONVINCED there was a dope (i.e., coke) double entendres to this song … i was like dude from Chicago.. he got the projects in the background with goons wearing his shirt… no way this is just about skating. No fn way…

This was and always has been the rumor

And Lupe is SOO cold wit the pen.. definitely not far fetched

@fakeshoredrive I just relistened to the song and I ll be damn if he aint talking about selling dope!! Lupe fiasco is probably if not one of thee greatest writers/rapper of our time

@fakeshoredrive The ‘flip’ talk!!!! Way more than coincidence bro.

@fakeshoredrive Real talk!! I just went back and listened to a few of his songs from his latest projects.... this man makes you want to never write a song again, like I can write music but what he does is just otherworldly

@fakeshoredrive He’s gifted bruh. Simple as that man.. he’s just insanely intelligent

My favorite hip-hop song of all time

"🎵Cucunk cucunk cucunk, my neighbours couldn't stand it🎵"

Skaters hated the fuck outta this shit when it first came out

JC, it’s been THAT LONG?

Used to love staying out on sunny afternoon spring & summer days in 2006 blasting this song on my cd player 🔥 Happy 20 to this masterpiece 💎🎉 @LupeFiasco

Love this album so much

MLS OG's remember Lupe's 2006 All Star Game Halftime performance in Chicago(Bridgeview) complete with a halfpipe in the background with skateboarders the vibes.

Whenever I hear this song it brings back memories playing NBA live 07 on the 360 Ifykyk 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I started skating three or four years before this and would get made fun of my skate shoes and when this came out everyone got one the wave and was asking me where I copped my shit. Lol

Legend 😎✊

Beginning of a new era

Who produced this song?

One of my favorite songs of all-time.

Damn 20 years ago 🤪

@GrownUpRap The beat made the song, not Lupe. Same thing with the “superstar” song. Beat & hook made the song…He’s way overrated…

@Rockyx205 classic 🔥🔥

@DragonflyJonez Lupe one of the most plugged in niggas ever!!

Music for niggas who practiced karate in musty basements instead of talking to girls when they was younger.

One of the best rap songs ever. Love this. ❤️

🏆

Such a banger!!!

@NatomasSlimm Been skating with him since

This was my mf joint back in high school

もう20年も経つのか 彼の日本カルチャーへの愛はこちらまで伝わっている

Just played this, didn’t even know it was 20 exact years. This is truly one of the best songs ever made

My 🐐

Timeless music 🙏🏾

Lupe is a legend and criminally underrated.

Legendary

This song is about selling dope. lol
