200,000 people live on Toronto’s waterfront. A supersized Billy Bishop jet expansion would dramatically increase pollution and put their health on the line: from cancer, to heart attacks, to asthma. I asked the Minister of Transportation if he had investigated this. Several times. With no answer.

Here’s First Minister of Scotland John Swinney failing to answer questions from Murdo Fraser MSP in the Scottish Parliament today. Murdo expressed that prior to today’s u-turn by the the Scottish Prison Service the shocking initial indication from them was that they would not be complying with the law and continuing to allow male bodied prisoners in the female estate. He then asked the First Minister how much tax payer money was spent “defending the indefensible” and asked if Mr Swinney would now meet with For Women Scotland to hear their concerns on behalf of vulnerable women. Predictably, the First Minister said the case had been “complicated” and failed to answer either question.
