2009 vs 1995

I miss the saturated colors; now they make it soulless.

The angel breaking the clouds in the 1995 version is infinitely better direction.

1995 color and people is better but everything else on 2009 is better

The amount of people in these comments living in the past is crazy.

The original will always be better

"1995 is good but 2009 better" are we watching the same fucking video?

90’s better.

1995 animation is far more superior

The animation is much better in 09’ but the style and color in 95’ is far better than 09’

The most prominent thing for anime’s that are reanimated is the loss of color

rebuild was garbage whenever it wasnt remaking NGE

Why re shoot if you’d gonna cut corners on the second attempt?

The only thing that really feels better on 2009, is the angel's hands reaching out from the absolute terror field.

The rebuild saga made me upset. It's not bad I just like the original more

This reminded me how much I hate digital filters, they make even the epilepsy inducing flashing of the 90s look appealing.

2009 is to loud & flashy, unlike 1995 tells more of a story without saying much.

古い方が敵の目に何の感情も感じない無機質に落ちてくるのが怖くて好き

Bro, stop posting engagement bait

I really wish they continue to milk the franchise. Seeing more timelines with alternated first few episodes to holy moly endings and then reset again would be fun to see from time to time

Both are awesome!

O de 2009 tem bons detalhes, mas o de 1995 é top

1995 version is better, no question

Never having watched Evangelion, I'd say overall, I prefer the old one more. It has a better sense of drama and atmosphere. The new one has some good points, but it also lacks in certain aspects.

2009 has more flashing light and shaky cam I see

Color, framing, anticipation, and timing is always better in the original. Will always just feel like good cinema.

Song name?

'09>'95

why burn money for something worse, welp.

1995

1995 feels like a panic attack on cels, 2009 feels like the panic attack got a gym membership. Both slap.
