@DrJBhattacharya This is so dystopian. They are focused on improving diagnostics and detecting illnesses and the thing that is just far too common is a complete lack of emphasis on prevention and general, overall metabolic health.

It can encourage some really bad things gs to happen also. Controlling the purse strings is what keeps scientists and doctors and hospitals feom speaking out when medical injustice is happening like with AIDS research, syphilis research and COVID research.

While that was happening, Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong said the NIH/NCI identified IL-15 as the "most important molecule to cure cancer". The NIH were sitting on it — trying to develop it for about 10 years but "failed" due to challenges. He views this as a missed opportunity to prioritize immunotherapy (activating natural killer cells and immune responses) over toxic chemo/radiation, suggesting this period was a pivotal moment that influenced the direction of cancer therapy, potentially delaying a stronger emphasis on immunotherapy approaches like IL-15.
