BREAKING: Hours after resigning from the APC, Senator Saliu Mustapha has been announced as the Kwara Central PDP senatorial candidate, replacing Yinka Otukoko, who previously held the ticket. Senator Saliu was part of the Kwara APC G15, a faction of the APC comprising 10 governorship aspirants, three serving APC senators, some APC House of Representatives members, and other influential APC leaders who are displeased with Governor Abdulrazaq over the handling of the Kwara APC governorship primary, which produced Speaker Yakubu Danladi-Salihu as the APC governorship candidate. The faction is now in alliance with former Senate President Bukola Saraki following successful discussions to secure their support for Kwara PDP ahead of the 2027 general election. The G15 made some demands during the discussions, with some Senate seats in play as reported earlier and now confirmed. Senator Saliu Mustapha has been given the Senate ticket, while Saraki secured their support for the PDP with special attention to the governorship seat. The G15 also supports President Tinubu.

Kwara 2027: We in the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council started the process that produced a Kwara Northerner as APC Governorship Candidate. We're pleased with the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for not imposing any Candidate on us in Kwara State. We also thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for enabling the Governor and also endorsing Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi who emerged as the party's candidate after the primary. The aggrieved aspirants are our sons and when we get home we will talk to them and they will listen to us because their are other opportunities they can also get when they remain patient. "The genocide and mass murder in Kwara state was first unleashed by a former Governor of the state on his own people in a place called Ofa a few years ago when hundreds of people were killed in one day. It is the same former Governor that is now stoking the fire of terrrorism and funding the terrorists that are subjecting the people of Kwara to genocide today in an attempt to make the state ungovernable."- Femi Fani-Kayode

There is no better way to spend my birthday than being back home with my people. I started my day with prayers, and right now, I am at the Kwara State PDP Youth Summit. While this event was organised to commemorate my birthday, I value it most for the opportunity to have an honest conversation about leadership, responsibility, and the future that the young people of Kwara State deserve. Moments like this give us the chance to strengthen our democracy by building a new generation of leaders.

“President Tinubu announced yesterday that all 38 people kidnal@pped in Kwara State have been rescued, but the story is not adding up. There has been no mention of any arrests, and no information about whether a rånsom was paid. I'm tired of Nigerians always complaining online, we need to start taking action and begin calling out government officials." – Falz

Today, as the sole governorship aspirant of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, I participated in the primary election exercise in Ward 3, Okpe LGA. The APC governorship primary was peaceful and rancour-free across the 270 wards in the state, and I appreciate the model adopted by the party. Addressing newsmen after the primary election, I urged those who emerged victorious to extend the hand of fellowship to their opponents. Now, we are ready and fully prepared for the 2027 general elections.

Former Minister Yusuf Tuggar has criticized the process that produced the APC governorship candidate in Bauchi State, alleging that there was no democratic primary election. According to him, the APC National Chairman informed party stakeholders that Muhammad Abubakar had been selected as the party's candidate, claiming the decision had the backing of President Bola Tinubu. Tuggar further alleged that Minister Muhammad Ali Pate personally appealed to the President to prevent him from contesting for the governorship ticket. "This is not democracy. The President should not be choosing governorship candidates for us. We did not conduct primaries, we were simply told that Tinubu had chosen Abubakar as the APC governorship candidate for Bauchi State," Tuggar stated.

The discovery was made at about 3:00 p.m. by soldiers providing cover for a Mine Risk Group team from Maiduguri. Their task was to retrieve two trucks that had been hit by an earlier Boko Haram explosion on July 4. By finding and clearing the command-wire IED in Kanguri, the troops stopped what could have been another lethal strike in Guzamala LGA.

Dallas County Democratic Party obtained an order to extend polling hours for the March 3 primary election. Polls will now remain open until 9 p.m. at all Dallas County voting locations. Following a challenging day of well documented voting access issues, DCDP was compelled to ensure all Democratic voters have access to the polls. Election judges and poll workers should ensure that all eligible Democratic voters present at polling places by 9 p.m. are allowed to cast a ballot. Voters who are in line by 9 p.m. will be permitted to vote.

"The road to Benue that was not done when David Mark was Senate President for 8 years is now been done by President Tinubu. We don't need to talk about Dele Momodu, that one doesn't have anything it takes apart from eating food anyhow in a bad manner. Bolaji Abdullahi left PDP in 2014, came back in 2019, lost senatorial election in 2023, left again today for ADC after several attempts to join the APC but Kwara State Governor rejected him....."

This is Osun, not Saraki Kwara State. When Governor Adeleke met with the “Federal might," it was a normal visitation, but when the APC governorship candidate, AMBO, met with the “Federal might," it was bragging—OKAY! The president of Nigeria is an APC member. He has the right to support any APC members vying for election in Nigeria. Under President Tinubu's administration, we witnessed a free, fair, and less violent election in Nigeria. Recall the 2022 election: an APC member, FPMBUHARI, was the president in 2022, yet you didn’t accuse the OSUN APC of “Federal Might” when we lost to ADELEKE. It’s now that you all are playing a pity game. The Osun election is about grassroots political workings and not social media politics. The margins in the Osun election are always closer between the APC and the PDP, regardless of the candidates both parties presented. The Osun election is always tied—this already refutes your “wide margin speculation.” These are the results of the last two elections in Osun State. Osun 2022 result. PDP—403,371 APC—375,073 Osun 2018 result APC—255, 505 PDP—255,023 The current political structures don’t favor Adeleke. The PDP structure has collapsed, the Accord structure is weak, the bigwigs who assisted the governor's emergence have left the party, no Aregbesola anti-party, there is no voting till 11pm in Ede again, there are no sympathy votes, etc. The current Osun election DATA doesn’t favor Governor Adeleke. No Chochocho. No emotional or media blackmail would work this time around. Please, Egbon, always tell the governor the truth! The only governor who had a wide margin was Aregbesola. Aregbesola achieved it via the defection of PDP bigwigs to the APC, despite being the Governor then. The likes of Oyinlola, Serubawon(Late. Isiaka Adeleke), and others. Aregbesola APC (394,684) and OMISORE PDP(292,747) As of today, Osun APC is adding up at the grassroots. We aren't relying on "Federal might." The President will support any APC members vying for an election—That’s sacrosanct! APC will win the Osun August 15th election and we’d vote massively for President Tinubu in 2027✊🏼. BOLA l’Osun. BOLA ni Federal.

Speaker Qalibaf recounts how the announcement of the Leader's martyrdom was handled 🔻 "About an hour after the bombing, we realized that the Leader had been martyred. By the time we managed to gather the heads of the three branches of government and Ali Larijani had arrived, it was around 8:00 p.m. At that meeting, we decided that the announcement of the Leader's martyrdom would be made at 8:00 a.m. the following morning. After the meeting, we immediately dispersed." 🔸 "Later, when we saw that foreign TV channels had already reported the news, we decided to announce the Leader's martyrdom before dawn instead and call on the people to take to the streets."

ABC confirms what The Daily Letter and virtually everyone on X who is not brainwashed by propaganda had already confirmed 24 hours earlier that Alex Pretti never pulled a gun, never reached for it, never attacked DHS agents, was only recording when he was pepper-sprayed as he tried to rescue two women being assaulted by DHS agents sent by Trump and Noem to Minneapolis, not really for immigration enforcement, but for the governorship election that they have now effectively lost. The plan from here in Washington was to talk about fraud by Somali-Americans and using that as a pretext to deploy ICE, thousands of agents to one state out of 50. To the public, it was going to be about fraud, not election. In reality, it was about the governorship election there. But with the killings of Renee Nicole Good on January 7 and Alex Pretti on January 24 and massive protests, the Republicans have now lost the election there and likely in many other places. What is hilarious is how the general public often fails to see that it's never about WMDs, drugs or fraud, but power and money for those in power and their friends.

“Why The Victory Of Governor Adeleke In The Osun State Election Is Not a Victory For Democracy, But a Serious Concern For Nigeria Democracy. How Is It a Win For Democracy When People Lost Their Lives And It Was As If The State Was In a Civil War? In Fact, Nigerians Should Be More Concerned About The 2027 Presidential Election After What Transpired In The Osun Election. There Were 3 Things That Made Governor Adeleke Win The Election: (1) He Had Enough Money To Match The Money APC Candidates Were Ready To Share. (2) He Had Enough Thugs And Foot Soldiers Who Were Ready To Meet Violence With Violence. (3) He Had Men And Women Of Goodwill Who Were Tired Of APC And Couldn’t Stand APC Taking Over The State.”
